AU/NZ tech tree proposal

G’day everyone, bit of a late post but, since we’ve had a good look at a posible addtion to the game being the AU/NZ tech tree (since the release of the moments of valour: australia day). I think its a good time to bring back the tech tree I proposed a while ago! i will be quick to add people to the google sheet if you want to view from there

So why’s the M10 a premium?

Its under the NZ side so it’ll be a small little uniqe addtion to the tech tree

Yeah but why’s it a premium and not a TT vehicle?

as i’ve stated in previous posts this is a draft and its subject to change and in which it could, the reason why we put it there in the first place is because the NZ tanks lacked prems

Alright then. One last thing. The A-4G should be under the striker line. Also you can’t forget the the Kahu before the F-4E.

I AM CURRENTLY EDITING THE DRAFT ON GOOGLE SHEETS, CHECK IT FOR CHANGES

tech tree draft

thats under the sub tree for NZ

I mean the only NZ vehicle is in the British tree and all but one AU vehicle is there so they basically are already in the game

i could probably find a single USAF/USN squadron that used more original vehicles than NZ

pretty sure the average aircraft carrier of the US navy has a bigger air force than most of the planet let alone the country most maps forget

yeah one carrier probably has more domestic variety than NZ tree

I was going to disagree and then i looked at the NZDF website and holy crap youre right

They have 8 aircraft (not counting trainers even though navy does have carrier capable ones bc it’s kind of dumb)

A carrier has: CMV-22, EA-18G, F/A-18E, F/A-18F, F-35C, SH-60, MH-60, E-2, C-2, CH-53E, MH-53E, MQ-25

I count variants for USN since I’m also counting the 2 variants of C-130 NZ uses

8 vs 12 aircraft types lol

Solid effort compiling this.

My reasons for voting no are as follows.

TL;DR, don’t see the point in time, sl, rp, ge, to play vehicles that already exist in game.

The implementation of the Chinese and Israeli tech trees (of which I’m grateful) have made it obvious to me that additional tech trees exacerbate the worst elements of the grind, and undermine player investment in existing tech trees.

The majority of vehicles you are proposing would ideally exist under the British and American tech trees as Skins or Camouflages, and in the event of specific Aus/NZ modifications to vehicles, they could exist as a foldered vehicles. Finally the uniquely Australian vehicles partly exist as premiums or event vehicles.

The idea of investing time and energy to research vehicles I already own in existing tech trees albeit with crew skills, slots etc reset. Having to invest RP and SL, not only for new vehicles, but all vehicles in order to furnish complete lineups.

The recent Australia day skins were all I needed personally.

Wentworth Cruiser was pretty much a napkin design according to Tank Encyclopedia.

Overall NZ/AUS should be subs of Britain.

I really don’t think either nation would have much of anything to add to top and high tier not already found in other trees. Not many domestic additions and would be yet another C&P tree. So I vote no. Same reason for not to a Swiss tree, a Spanish tree, and a few other posts I’ve seen asking for relatively small arms industry nations to be come full tech tree additions.

They simply sont have enough warrant making them their own tech tree. Maybe a line in another TT, but nothin further

Yeah… But again… Why? It’s an Australian aircraft.

the only thing that was aussie in that statement was the F-4E

Ground tree looks like an UK/US copy paste with few Leopards sprinkled in.
Pretty sovlless if you ask me.
