Is it possible to export the textures in the asset viewer to something other than DDS? or is there a way to make the DDS compatible or Gimp (30.2)?
As far as I could find it’s a feature behind a plug-in you should install to load and export image files in .dds format:

No, that’s not it, normally DDS works fine but after they redid all the textures around the same time the M18 got remodeled they must have changed it and now the DDS are in a BC7 format or something and incompatible with gimp :/
