I’m tired of people not communicating on SA, nobody pings map or uses radio commands. If anyone else here plays exclusively on SA and you’re in Indonesia or Australia, etc, please leave a reply below. Let’s team up and actually win some games.
edit: not only is the lack of communication disappointing, but also the ping of the other 3 servers, I just cannot play with 240 ping.
I’m amused, but the latency is not my main problem.
me is an asia mfr, but gaijin doesnt like to put me in that server, usually get thrown into EU with around the same ping as you experience with em
I don’t play on SA. I’m Australian but it’s just not worth it for the slightly lower ping. The wait times are too long, the players are bad, language difference in chat means I’ve no idea what half the conversations are saying. To make it worse you can only play on auto for SA or ignore it completely to play on EU and NA. So I do the latter. If your looking for Aussies though BVC (bush veldt carbaneers) is happy to play with you.
Using the radio chat and ping correctly though is a thing. If someone pings out middle of nowhere it’s getting artied, if the call to attack the d point is called we go zerg rush, defend the d, hold more. And most everyone knows some english words.
I do find though on the US servers, there isn’t as much communication going on anyway unless I start it.
Well I’m left out then, I forget how close Asia is to Europe, but here in New Zealand Gaijin would never put me on EU, sometimes the US. I always find SA server games in the late afternoon or evening, New Zealand time. We’re only 5 hours ahead of you, somehow all my games are on SA now. I haven’t played the US server at all.
So you play on EU with 300+ ping? I always find games in the afternoon or evening, I don’t need the NA or EU servers. I believe SA is worth it for me.
260 to 280 on EU but yes. Getting almost immediate battles and better quality teams in general make it a far more enjoyable experience. The lower SA ping doesn’t make all that difference in game play, the match maker is slow and the battles are full of votes and terrible players as well as I get some packet loss occasionally on SA server.
