M20 RR has about 100mm of penetration, so on the M3A1 I would argue a BR of 1.7-2.0 would be more appropriate, as a bit of a sidegrade to something like the AS 42/47.

Unfortunately when it comes to actual heavy tanks, there are basically zero options I could find for ASEAN; as while there were Valentines (which could perhaps one day be redesignated as a heavy due to being infantry tanks) used in Burma from 1942-43, it seems that Myanmar only ever got its hands on a few Bridgelayers, and I doubt they were captured WW2 units like the Shermans and Stuarts.
And speaking of the modified Sherman above, I wonder if the answer is inside the “Gallery of the Office of the Directorate of the Armored Corps” room in the Defense Services museum, as that’s where the image originates from. Not like I’m really able to check it out myself.

Harimau doesn’t even look like it could be any higher than 10.7 like the Booker, I fear they’ll overtier this thing just to shove it with Type 90s instead of bringing this and the 2A4+'s to finally give Japan some form of 10.7 lineup, between the void of 9.7 and 11.7

At this point I think their plans are Indonesia would fill the Ground, while Malaysia would fill the Air, though I still have hopes for regular tree Indonesian aircraft like Rafale, Su-27SKM and (highly rumoured) Su-35

I’m guessing they don’t want two fully new air lines in one update, So instead they just filled the hole in the Malaysian line some more. But they probably still have plans for Indonesia in the future

After looking the armour I better get a leopard 2A4, is it really this weak that can be pen by .50???
I think if we put together a full tech tree with all 11 ASEAN members, we wouldn’t need to be a sub-branch of any other nation. It would be complete with aircraft, helicopters, warships, and ground vehicles. The countries in the bloc have enough equipment to form a full technology tree from Rank I
Saying it’s based on the PT-76 isn’t entirely accurate. I’ve tried 3D modeling this vehicle, and basically, it’s quite a bit larger than the PT-76. The bow angle resembles that of the Chinese Type 63, and it has more return rollers. It’s more like a scaled-down 2S25, with a smaller caliber gun and 15mm of steel armor covering the entire hull

The primary issue is that the history of a LOT of early ASEAN armor is more or less hidden from us. Burma, Indonesia, and Thailand have many vehicles we simply know nothing about, yet would do well to flesh out the early tiers.
There’s a lot of weird stuff in your tree too. Where did Matilda, Valentine, Lee, Ho-Ni, CCKW, BTR-152A, Crusader AA, AMX-13 (FL11), ZSU-23-4M2, AMX-13-90, ZSU-37-2, M60, Sabra, M551, M3 GMC, and M15 CGMC come from? There are also no photos of unmodified Vietnamese SU-76M, no photos of Vietnamese ASU-57 (to my knowledge), no evidence that Indonesia used the I-Go Ko in their possession (yet), or a Chi-Ha Kai, and Vietnamese K9 hasn’t entered service or even been tested yet.
Why though? Yeah it is possible but it just not fun at all
