So only the Malaysian ones are decently armed?

in terms of AAM amount maybe

the Indonesian ones typically only fly with 2 aams on the wing tips, nothing to say they can’t take more aams though

I mean as long as its theoretically/technically possible, I don’t see why not.

From my quick glance at Reddit, it looks like the Hawk 208 can carry the AMRAAM (which is pretty funny) and the Sea Eagle

The Sea Eagle would be pretty cool. It has a J-band active radar target seeker which wouldn’t really permit tracking of ground targets like tanks irl (since it’s like 1.5 cm I believe), but since we have the ASM-1 and ASM-2 in WT now, I guess it’s feasible.

has yet to be proven tho

dang it

4x AAMs is advertised as a feature of both the Hawk 200 (Pictured is an early brochure before the wing-tip rails were added) and Hawk 100 (Terrible scan I do apologise).

Plus the Hawk 208’s are using an adapter rail, similar to the Harriers

The Hawk 209’s prefer to use that pylon for ground ordnance like Mavericks and such

ASRAAM + Active Skyflash

It’s been advertised with Skyflash, Active Skyflashs, S225X (Pre-ramjet Meteor ancestor), ASRAAMs, AMRAAMs, Magics etc etc
If it was a weapon being developed in the UK during the Hawk 200’s development, or common on the export market, it was offered to the platform, although the only weapons we can confirm to have flown are AIM-9 and Skyflash, with the caveat the the Hawk 200 flown with Skyflash couldn’t actually fire them, as it was the radarless ZH200 prototype.

what j10 variant did indonesia get?

None, they did not buy any yet - if there is a deal, its most likely going to be second hand J-10Bs. Thats at least what insiders are sharing.

I suspect that we can obtain the Hawk 200 RDA in the subtree this update, but I have no evidence.

This will be Indonesian or Malaysian?

How about we get both the Indonesian and Malay hawk 200 series :3

then again RMAF doesn’t seem to have the larger Skyflash/Sparrow/AMRAAM rail, plus the Hawks procurement also happens earlier before the Hornets which added Sparrows into the inventory, after R-27R on MiG-29

AIM-7M on RMAF Hornet D

The F/A-18D has AIM-7M, later AIM-120C-5 in 2005 and AIM-120C-7 later in 2015
also another thought: it would be funny in alternate timeline RMAF happen to have those rails and kitbash it to MiG-29, as seen in earlier post with AIM-9L/M

I just noticed another thing, 208s seem hardly or never slung Mavericks in contrast for A2G setup, while AGM-65 does available in inventory but has been seen only on Hornets.

Either or, (IMO) the Indonesian Hawk 209 has nicer skins though

That blue

Penerbad AH-64E has received it’s camo
also it came after DJP which idk, they split up line for Mi-35P just to have it not lead to other heli

Might be a line for Eastern-based tech. Mi-35P is missing a lot of armament so we might get a Mi-35P (L).
or for heavier helicopters, such as a Thai UH-60 or Malaysian/Thai AW149 (not sure if these are armed or not)

nah ours don’t operate AW149, but AW139 that is leased from civilian operator (which so happens to be the largest operator for said heli model)

Thai has AH-1F but that is redundant considering there is already AH-1E and 1S in the TT, Malaysian Army does have MD-530G but it only utilize unguided armaments, no Hellfires or APKWS even bought.

there was one time an APKWS spotted during National Science Week expo and a minister of said department at the time was there, but I bet those are just mockups.

Thailand also bought AH-6 after ours with MD-530G. Also as JSDF planning to phase out attack helis in place for UCAV in future, there was suggestion to acquire the DJP among military enthusiasts.

If it doesn’t need modification to use, then it can come to the game with these regardless.

By that rule there’s also Thai EC645T2 (another name for H145M) to look forward to. They weren’t armed in Thai service, but they can be armed (even still having the mountings for the sight).

If Gaijin decide to add them I can see a decent line of light helicopters:

Malaysian MD-530G with APKWS (but no Hellfires) → Thai AH-6i with Hellfires → Thai EC645T2 with Spike-ER

Is Indonesian skyhawk the same armament as the Israeli one, just remember Ayit in game has an Indonesian camouflage and Indonesia bought the Skyhawks from Israel.
