It’s specifically a LAU-7, which is a very flexible sidewinder rail used by the Hawk 108, Hawk 208, and F-18D.

Seems like the sidewinders and wing fuel tanks need to be reported then.

Sidewinders have been reported, but more information than just this image, or even some more information and maybe the source for this image, would be appreciated.

Missing wing drop tanks

Thanks to a good find from @AJinxdEngineer we now know the MiG-29N carries the P5 CTS pod. This is done using the same LAU-7 launch rails taken from the Hawk 208, except now with specific confirmation that these are wired to function (since it’s needed for the P5).

This would mean the AIM-9 integration was done to more, if not all MiG-29Ns, rather than just being an experimental thing.

Man flying a mig with Aim 9ms is gonna be strange

Aim9m would be like a sidegrade to the 73e right?

They both have their uses in different situations. This will add a bit of flexibility to the aircraft.

Also the cockpit is now updated and it seems well made. I don’t know when the change happened exactly but I could’ve sworn it was Russian this morning. I only found out while making screenshots for a report.

anything more to the Mig 29 that could make a smidge more unique baring aim 9s… bomb ordinance maybe?

Sadly no other armament that I’d know of, but the radar might be another thing, since it would be the only MiG-29 in game to use N019ME. It should be a bit better than the current N019E, but aside from a second datalink channel I don’t know about specifics.

The radar was already reported by @kizvy and has already been accepted

Other than that the main differences to other MiGs are the “westernized” cockpit in English with Imperial measurements, English voice warning (this was also added in game alongside the updated cockpit) and the refueling probe.

Really seems like they got it pretty well. Nice to see they’re putting in this level of effort.

Its a Mig 29 so how good will it be? I rarely see these in Air are they good or are there limits. Ground pounding seems to be an issue no good anti armor weapons.

oh yea right, it used to carry ACMI pod as well, I forgot about that one. IIRC it’s a locally made version and used to train alongside the Hawks.

plus the Hawk 208 squadron was stationed at the same airbase as MiG-29 so R&D may be done in tandem.

Ive got sad news a second mod denied it as they personally believe its for another variant of the mig and not the N aka the SE/SD internationally

It’s accepted again lmao

I hope they can publish their sources, it would be interesting to see if it really used N019ME.

I just closed my own report yesterday because sources contradicted eachother, so this would mean they might have additional information.

13.3, yep instant DOA
(it was nice until this happen) (also I blame MatAWG because he’s the one insist for R-77 on this)

like, just make it 12.7 with AIM-9L, and F-16AJ finally have reason to be removed
