ASEAN Founders Aviation Sub-Tree

its always a push and pull I like the AJ and I would be sad if it went the way of the R2Y2 as its a good what if. I know its unlikely but we have seen Gaijin pull stuff off before. Gaijin has likely talked about it and know if it was added people would eat up the Japanese Su-27 jut like the AJ.

nah I think since Indonesia being subtree is TNI-AU Su-27SK/SKM would probably a more feasible option rather than going back and forth on “almost possible” option

not only that, if we’re playing by that, then RMAF was also almost getting Tornado back then, before swapped to Hawk 200s

Yeah, what I mean is with a potentially Indonesian Su-27SKM or Su-30MK2 a Japanese “what if” skin can definitely be added and it’s an option that would satisfy both sides

revised once again

added Super Tucano after Cavalier, new rank 5 lineup including CS-102 and T-33, added MiG-19S before MiG-21F-13, and moved Malaysian jets deemed feasible on line 5. And the brand new Rank 9 bracket moved down MKM and Rafale. Again, no more F-5E from MY or ID shall be added given FCU and SCU made them redundant.

Still wait for late this year (or maybe mid year if the first airframe airborne or painted) for FA-50M, could be before or after MiG-29N

And uh, doubt Su-30MK/MK2 gonna be added here for a while plus F-2A ADTW is there (unless moved up to 13.7 as considered earlier)

True. Talking about skins I hope Gaijin does a blitz and adds some low tier skins for vehicles that Thailand used from Japan.

unlikely, I asked smin a while back about ZA skins for British aircraft and the answer was a probably not. So I wouldn’t get your hopes up

That’s sad and a missed GE opportunity for Gaijin. Skins are not that difficult to make (like I would know) but much less then a new vehicle model.

I want su-27skm so badly

IdAF ?

But, RTAF operated unarmed or rearmed ?

Yup! It’s such an easy thing too

But hey Gaijin loves to disappoint

Gaijin - we love micro transactions
Would it be cool to have a mostly historical skin that I would buy with GE? - WT community
Gaijin - no

That’s unfortunate, I’ve spent time making two suggestions (with another one on draft) for RTAF camouflage for the Japanese F-86F-30. They’re still pending acceptance from the suggestion mods.

I’d think so, also IdAF does have armed T-33, but it only got two .50 cals and couple of rocket pods, idk about RTAF T-33

The mods are really overloaded they really need to do an employment blitz and burn though all the pending suggestions. I made a few crossover event suggestions 3 months ago and still waiting.

With the hawk 209 being on sale, I think now is a good time to mention all the thing wrong with it!

it still has no radar, no additional mavericks, no additional sidewinders, no upgraded RWR, incorrect cockpit layout, as well as having the gunpods be fixed instead of it being…you know… a gunpod. Im sure thats not the only issues as well, i could be forgetting something

the flaps not deploying they fixed relatively quickly but all of the ones above they didnt, but you know it is what it is, i mean the Mi35 still hasnt gotten its FFAR and its been what ~5 months now? and thats a relatively simple change, so i dont have the best of hopes

also slightly unrelated but here is also the armament images of the IL-28

Just realize now that the Il-28 pictured is of the Il-28U which is the two-seat trainer. They were unarmed in service of other nations that operated it (No forward mounted guns due to the nose being completely different and rear turret guns removed but otherwise stayed the same so it’s theoretically possible to add them back. Unclear if the bomb bay was removed but very likely as well).

However if bombs are displayed in front of it. That could imply that at least the Indonesian Il-28U’s can at least carry bombs. Though that could just be just as likely if not more like that it’s just a stand in for the bombloads for the combat Il-28’s (excluding the torps of course).

i dont recall there was ever any changes to the Il-28Us (could be wrong)

I think it being a substitute is more likely, but we wont know for certain

in regards to the lack of torps, its the Air Force’s display not the Navy’s, so that kinda explains why they dont have a torpedo ready on standby.

And honestly id much rather have the Il-28T since it would be capable of carrying both standard ordinance or the torps (plus it would be a different model as well)

Agreed but mostly because we don’t have the Il-28T in game and the USSR already has an analogue in the form of the Tu-14 with the possible compliments of their jet flying boats

I could see them finally adding the Su-30MK2 on the tech tree with Indonesia, and Indonesia has more of those than the 27SKM at the moment too. Besides it could be like I said, I don’t know which RWR the SKM is supposed to have but if it retained the SPO-15 it’ll just be a slightly worse J-11A because the 11A at least has MAWS. I’d rather have a lower BR Su-30 for free which would be pretty much like the Venezuelan one

su-27skm has l-150 so its fine
su-27skm demonstrator “305”

as you can see in this image from flight manual, su-27 with spo-15 does not have these tips on the wings

also its product page says it can guide kh-31p missiles which only l-150 can do and not spo-15lm

Good to know that it doesn’t have the SPO-15, that would’ve been a big letdown, then I suppose either of them can be added, I do like the single seat Flankers more but I’d also like to see the earlier Su-30 that’s not a premium and present as a regular vehicle in one of the trees
