Spoiler

Anyone else think they will add the Philipnes to the Korean-tree? I suspect so due to the fact that the Philipines sent help to South Korea during the Korean war, not to mention they are aquiring lots of Korean jets.
Weird to think the rest of ASEAN is in Japan-tree while the PH will likely be with SK & NK…
I think Japan is unlikely to get other ASEAN nations, only Thailand Indonesia and Malaysia that are already there.
Other ASEAN nations will probably be added in other places, I could for example see them add the Philippines and maybe Vietnam to a future Korean tree or Camboadia, Laos and Myanmar to the Chinese tree. Singapore is also said by Gaijin to be split, with a rumored F-15SG to Israel.
Singapore is going to be cut up and spread around where its needed so there is a chance Japan gets a leopard or two. Or most likely an Anti-Air
I wouldn’t be opposed to Phillipines going to the Korean tree, Japan will get plenty with THA-MAL-INDO selection already
Philippines and Vietnam should be in Korean tree imo
Posting here incase people hasnt seen it yet:
Yeah I second that, I’m still surprised we don’t have more of Vietnam anywhere even if it was within the USSR, it’s of historical significance, iirc we didn’t even have the Vietnamese roundel until somewhat recently (relatively speaking while factoring in War Thunder’s existence), or at least I’d never seen it
right, iirc we only have two Vietnamese vehicles (three if you include the copy pasted T-34 AA in USSR tree), the somewhat recent VPAF roundel, three historical skins (VPAF MiG-21F, RVNAF F-5A and F8F), and one fictional Q-5 skin. At the very least I’d expect gaijin to add the VPAF skin for the MiG-17 and MiG-21PF, and also VN tank roundels
Yeah and none of that yet, we have to resort to user skins or something, it’s kinda embarrassing but if Vietnam ends up in the Korean tree I can forgive gaijin for this blasphemy lol
I think it might be the Hunter IFV, as Indonesia also operates the Leopard series, and Japan lacks IFV equipped with atgm.
I don’t think so, the Lim-6 was only ever a Polish prototype.
The following Lim-6Bis and Lim-6M and Lim-5M I believe were only ever used in Polish service.
From what I can find only the Lim-5 (MiG-17F) and Lim-5P (MiG-17PF) were exported to Indonesia
Lim-5 doesnt have a radar nor rear drag chute between the wing and vertical stab, Lim-5p also doesnt have the drag chute but it has the izumrud radar. Lim-6 variants meanwhile has that very distinct brake parachute between the engine & stab.

comparison with standard Lim-5/5P
compared to the Type 56 (Shenyang J-5) Chinese license-built version of MiG-17F (almost identical to the Lim-5)
Technically not, only the Lim-6Bis has this.
That parachute confirms it is a Lim-6Bis, it could also be a Lim-6BisR because one of the photos seems to have a bulge under the aircraft, but it doesn’t seem to be in the same place most Lim-6BisR cameras are. Lim-6 is a prototype, Lim-6M is converted from the Lim-5P and has a radar and the new hardpoints but no parachute. Lim-6BisR is a reconnaissance version, but still has all the features of a Lim-6Bis
Lim-6M
Lim-5P with the new hardpoints and upgrade to Lim-6 standard. It doesn’t have the parachute, but it has all other features of the Lim-6 so technically it’s the most advanced

Lim-6BisR
This version actually still has all the features of the Lim-6Bis, but will perform worse due to being a lot heavier with cameras underneath (you can see a bulge where the cameras are.
There is also the Lim-6MR which is a Lim-6M with the camera equipment. (I.E. a Lim-5P converted to Lim-6 standard with photo equipment)
