ARMA 6x6

Background
ARMA Tactical Wheeled Armored Vehicle is highly modular, amphibious, wheeled armored fighting vehicle family designed and developed by Otokar. Development of Arma fighting vehicle family started in 2007 as a private venture of Otokar. First ARMA was revealed in 2010 in 6x6 configuration. In 2011, first ARMA with 8x8 configuration was revealed to public. Both 6x6 and 8x8 configurations found success in export market.

This specific ARMA 6x6 variant was first showcased in DSA 2022 alongside COBRA II Tactical Wheeled Armored Vehicle in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Within same year, same ARMA 6x6 configuration was also seen in Eurosatory 2022 Defense Fair. Since then ARMA 6x6 in this configuration, MIZRAK-30 Unmanned Turret with 2A42 30mm Auto-Cannon, has not been seen in any events.

Although there isn’t a specific target customer for this ARMA 6x6 configuration yet, there is definitely potential demand. Given Otokar’s strong presence in Southeast Asia, Central Asia, and the Middle East, a turret system compatible with Soviet-origin weaponry is likely to attract interest. While this ARMA 6x6 configuration doesn’t currently have a customer, the same MIZRAK-30 turret with a 2A42 Auto-Cannon was successfully used on AKREP II armored vehicle for an undisclosed client upon request; who reportedly satisfied with it a lot. Even without a definite customer, this ARMA 6x6 version serves as a prime example of Otokar’s ability to create highly modular and adaptable vehicles.

ARMA 6x6
ARMA 6x6 was developed by Otokar as an armored personnel carrier as a private venture. Development began in 2007 to meet the Turkish Army’s need for a 6x6 vehicle with amphibious capabilities, and it was officially revealed in 2010. Although the Turkish Army did not select the ARMA 6x6 for its own use, the vehicle found success in the export market.

ARMA 6x6 is a highly modular tactical wheeled vehicle. Thanks to its high modularity, it can be fitted with variety of turret and weapon systems and fulfil different operational roles, such as:

• Fire Support Vehicle
• Driver Training Vehicle
• Command Post Vehicle
• Reconnaissance Vehicle
• Infantry Fighting Vehicle
• Armored Personal Carrier
• CBRN Reconnaissance Vehicle
• Armored Medical Evacuation Vehicle
• Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Vehicle

ARMA 6x6 (MIZRAK-30/2A42)

ARMA 6x6 is a highly modular platform, offered by Otokar alongside the heavier ARMA 8x8. It can be fitted with a variety of different weapon systems, ranging from 25mm Auto-Cannons to heavier 30mm Auto-Cannons and ATGM launchers. This particular configuration of ARMA 6x6 is equipped with Otokar’s MIZRAK-30 Unmanned Turret System, armed with 2A42 30mm Auto-Cannon, instead of the typical Western-originated 30mm Auto-Cannons.

General Specifications

Firepower
In this configuration, the ARMA 6x6 is equipped with Otokar’s MIZRAK-30 unmanned turret system, armed with the Shipunov 2A42 30mm auto-cannon. The primary armament is complemented by a Co-Axial 7.62mm machine gun as secondary armament. Firepower of MIZRAK-30 is further boasted with advanced electro-optical systems.

Implementation to War Thunder

ARMA Tactical Wheeled Vehicle family should be reserved for future Turkish Ground Forces Tech Tree. ARMA 6x6 in this configuration would be somewhat similar to talian VBC (PT2). BR-Wise it would fit around somewhere between 8.7 - 9.3 Battle Rating.

What? It’s not a Mk.44 Bushmaster II? I’m in utter disbelief. Very cool looking vehicle, I’m hoping soon to be added and we have something new other than a armored fighting vehicle with Bushmaster without proper anti-tank weapon (this doesn’t have but it’s something out of the usual).

+1 can’t believe there’s this many ARMAs tbh

What the hell, where is the trashmaster 64 ?
__

There also exists version with BMP-3 turret, isn’t it just better or am i missing something?

You might be surprised by just how many there are: around 7 versions of ARMA 6×6, 19 versions of ARMA 8×8 (across three generations), 3 versions of the RABDAN 8×8 (which is based on ARMA 8×8), 7 versions of the ARMA II 8×8, and 1 version of the TAIMAS 8×8. I have quite a backlog.

Well, actually there are two. One is equipped with the 2K23, BMP-3 turret, while the other is fitted with AUS1, that version being the TAIMAS 8×8. I also do have a suggestion for the TAIMAS 8×8.
