If they really fix the Arietes, I will 100% purchase Certezza, RGO, and grind Italy!
I always estimated around 450mm KE without WAR, 580mm KE with WAR, and around 350mm KE for the hull.
If the values are anywhere near these, I’m going for Italy!
I also hope AMV receives WAR as a mod.

I have both the Centauro RGO and Ariete Certezza, I like them a lot. Even with the Arietes’ current state, I still like it. I also have the VRCC and OF-40 (MTCA), both are also excellent.

I was considering getting VRCC as well!
I know 9.7 to 11.7 is a big gap, but, as a 3rd spawn, I believe it could still reinforce the “Premium lineup”.
I will also have the Squadron Freccia by that time.
If I am to grind Italy, I plan to get all of these vehicles during the May sale.

VRCC is excellent, I use it as my 3rd spawn in Arcade if I don’t feel like using a backup for the RGO or Certezza. And if you play Realistic, it has Gen 2 gunner thermals which are super useful for scouting, even if its darts are unable to pen the higher/top tier tonks (its darts are still quite good though, even in an 11.7+ match). The OF-40 (MTCA) does not have thermals, so I would for sure recommend the VRCC instead if you play Realistic at all.
I LOVE the TT Freccia, currently grinding the Squad Freccia. Both have good thermals, both with commander thermals. And the TT Freccia actually has Gen 3 commander thermals. AND both Freccia’s have IRST, I just adore lights with IRST ❤️ Aaaaand both have 10x Spike’s. Absolutely worth having one or both Freccia’s in a 11.7 BR lineup, again especially if playing Realistic.
Finally, even though I think some people complain about the KF41 and its laundry list of pending and accepted bug reports, I still LOVE it. Also has Gen 3 thermals for both gunner and commander sights. One of only 2 Italian tonks with Gen 3 gunner thermals, only other one is the Leopard 2A7HU
I made a huge post collecting all the KF41 bug reports I could find too, if anyone would like to browse/click “I have the same issue” on them 😉 :

The ariete should be able to tank 120mm CE shells on the face without struggles,yet even 105mm CE sometimes pen
Not to mention how the LFP can be penned by a 57mm APHE… Grinding the DM33 for both Arietes felt like building a skyscraper alone without tools

Hopefully they fix the armor properly this time. The PSO and WAR kit should be fixed too. I don’t get how the war kit adds 5.5 tons on the turret cheeks for like 10mm kinetic protection? Is it 5.5 tons of heavy air?

That’s exactly what Italy needed to fight the bias at top tier. Italy is the META, needs to be nerfed !

Id like to add the only other tank i could find this “brown armour modelling block” with was the challenger 3 TD, i believe its turret armour is same to other challenger 2s, counting this brown block as 400mm of composite.

Every ariete now has this modelling, including certezza.
it also says on the armour preview “variable thickness armour” around the turret and front hull.

Is the turret cheek still pennable by 3bm42? I wonder if this is the final change they’ll make to the Ariete, I’m still waiting for the WAR kit fix

I wonder how much of it is still WIP, but…
So far;
-Right cheek: 400mm KE
-Left cheek: 390mm KE
-Glacis: 300mm KE
I wonder if they’ve fixed the WAR kit or not; as I don’t have any Ariete, I can’t install it and check the armor viewer.
WAR should be providing at least about 150mm KE, not… 10 as it currently does lmao.
