I can’t stop crying over Coelian (which was dogshit when I decided against grinding it) and Panther II (at the time I did not know much about the game’s future and dogshit APCR felt like a big deal).
Especially Coelian as right now Germany has no effective SPAA past Kugelblitz, and Kugelblitz has like 50% of range of Chinese SPAA sitting at 5.7 (25mm with insane ballistic advantage and equal hitting power).
The difference being the F-16AJ could not exist. It’s a block 10 F-16 that can equip and guide Sparrows, something only the block 15 and above F-16s can do. Gaijin’s justifications of this are that it’s in the configuration that the Japanese would have accepted it in. I guess they had a time machine, and were able to jump into the future and find an Sparrow capable F-16.
If it were to be even slightly historical, it would be based on one of the YF-16 prototypes, as that was the plane that was painted up in Japanese camo and offered to them.
However, even that is pushing it because that’s as far as the proposal went. The Japanese never seriously considered the F-16 as an option, and unlike the Sniper it was discarded early on. It was never even trialed.
We really don’t need vehicles being added based on them being offered without them actually being considered, and doubly so when we give them entirely fake capabilities that are flatly impossible as depicted under the assumption that that’s what would have been required for them to be accepted.
Tiger II 105 is kinda cool, but seriously, nowadays the real advantage over Tiger II is agility. It also sits at BR where it lacks a proper lineup.
Meanwhile Panther II fills a very important niche, as there’s no other mobile German tank with OK armor and actual reverse gear around 6.7
Both it and Coelian are way bigger losses than 105.
This is a good topic, worth making “just in case”, so we won’t miss out on anyrhing else.
Advocating that its either removed entirely or replaced with something else is anti consumer for you.
No wonder everyone clowns you all the time.
I see you want to bank on FOMO vehicles which only further encourages Gaijin to remove vehicles so people spend money buying GE to put in one research point so they don’t lose it.
You’re a corporate bootlicker, anti-consumer and anti-player.
@ItsGaryy
It’s funny watching posts defend FOMO with all their life.
“You oppose FOMO? No wonder people insult you.”
“Opposing FOMO makes you a corporate bootlicker, anti-consumer, and anti-player.”
HAHA. I really hope your posts don’t represent your genuine views, cause opposing my anti-FOMO views and calling me insults for opposing FOMO doesn’t make you look good.
I’m not the one advocating for the removal of assets from a piece of software; the worst form of FOMO.
I’m not even advocating for the delisting of fictional vehicles [what occurs currently].
What? The Sniper existed, was built and partially upgraded in upgrade phases. That includes the western cockpit and some systems including RWR. If it was the “proposed” one then it would have had it’s Elta 2032 radar again and more western weaponry like Magics or Pythons which it could technically have due to LanceR sharing components.
Not to forget the Sniper comes from an already previously armed Romanian Fulcrum pre upgrade
The Prototype one could stay. Seeing as the gun was built and Gaijin consider that fine for “partial prototype” suggestions. I’m of the opinion that the Coelian should come back for similar reasons, the guns existed, the hull was metal.
I hate to say it, but the AC IV should be removed. It was never built, and the 17-Pdr test-bed was on a different chassis entirely.
Lastly, I’d love to see the stupid Great War mod removed from the TOG II. Completely non-sensical. If they wanted the sponsons they should make an earlier iteration of the vehicle. There’s so many iterations you could nearly have a 2.7 to 5.3 line of a dozen vehicles with TOG alone.
Those are the one off of the top of my head which are currently more fiction then fact and likely on the potential chopping block. And it’ll always be funny to me that the replacement for the Coelian was even more fake then it was.
He’s quite literally opposing FOMO, not encouraging it.
Yes, that is very much the definition of anti-consumer.
If anything you are the one defending Gaijin’s current policy here.
Gaijin’s current policy is Two of Three, meaning two of either the hull, turret or gun have to have been proven fabricated. In the case of the Ho-Ri prototype I’m afraid just the gun won’t cut it. The Coalian would count, though.
You move the goal posts around to make it seem like you’re making a point.
If the vehicle is not real, and Gaijin chooses to remove it then it should be removed permanently or replaced with a historical one for everyone.
Do you genuinely think its fair for players who didn’t get the Flakpanzer 341 to play against or with others using it? No. Its not fair at all because someone who started playing this year missed out on it.
How is anyone defending FOMO here? Realistically Gaijin could simply give all removed vehicles the same treatment as the Maus which is they bring it back for a week every year so you can earn it.
Also, assets can be removed or changed without any notice if Gaijin wishes to do so. I didn’t find anything in their TOS saying they’re legally not required to remove any assets that were purchased by players. Even other big companies have fine print language that they can remove or replace assets without any notice.
Except that it was likely the wrong design, and the actual one had a regular unmodified Chi-Ri hull meaning that it would be a much lower BR, perhaps down to 5.3 or 5.7.
Current Ho-Ri Prototype isn’t even necessarily MaiWaffentrager’s doing, but rather is in the game simply because it is the only version with a photo available (of the scale model). Still a paper vehicle though.
341 was running pretty rampant until its quick BR change. Sure its back to being ‘rare’ again, but point being is, either they should keep the vehicle as an event vehicle like the Maus, or remove it entirely. The current method is flawed and unfair to new players.
