AoA Limiter / "Maneuver" mode

Hello guyz, I checked DevServer for new things and realize they finaly added ability to control AoA limiter but just for Flankers ? Why not for everything else ?

F/A-18 gets it as well, I hope to see it on more aircraft

probably testiing

Flankers and Hornets get it right now, Devs have said its coming to most top tier fighters as well. They specifically mentioned the Falcons in the dev stream but pointed out that as of right now Rafale and Typhoon arent getting it on the forums

tomcat ?

Not specifically mentioned anywhere but I would guess so. If it had it irl it will probably get it in game

IRL the eurofighter has a AoA Override called the Manual Pitch Override (MPO), which allows the pilot to momentarily take control of the AoA limits, letting them fly at higher angles of attack.

If you have primary documentation on that keep it handy and submit a bug report if EF hits live without it

hm… it sounds like you are asking for me for example to go leak classified documents… gimme 50 bucks ill do it.
edit: btw this is a joke

gotta love how they specifically want to add this to the f16 and it simply cant irl.

F-16 does indeed have a manual pitch override switch, if you RTFM it tells you which limits it can override in which conditions.

It doesn’t allow you to pull aoa like in game though. It allows you to neg g the plane to recover from a specific kind of stall.

It allows you to override the negative G limit all the time and the AOA limiter when AOA is in excess of 35 degrees - which is to say that the switch will not allow you to override pitch between the normal 25 degree limit and 35 degrees AOA. I don’t see why it can’t be implemented according to those rules in War Thunder.

except thats not how its going to be implemented. its just going to let you hit the non existent cobra switch on the f16 and pull like 50-60deg of aoa. which the f16 is just incapable of irl. Its just silly.
