Anti-Radiation Missiles - Technical data and discussion

What are your verdicts guys? Atp. in the dev server I think the 88C is the best, from what I can tell it has the highest PK, HOBS capability, wide band range.

This video doesn’t work…

Fixed. Thanks

A practical question…how useful would an AGM88 be on a GRB/SB map with a 10km minimum range? :D

as a baseline the agm88 beats the living hell out of any other US cas weapon insofar as kinematics. ingame

Fun fact…RedAir got Kh31PD which achieved IOC in 2012, whose, ingame, NATO counterpart the AGM88C did in 1993. There is a NATO ARM that reached IOC in 2012, like Kh31PD, but it’s not AGM88C…it’s the AGM88E.

oh dont worry they will add agm88e at one point, that is without the mmw seeker that makes it good.

Idk. One of their issues with MMW is TK but since AA typically aren’t doing their job right next to your teammates and the MMW is only the terminal stage it might not be a problem.

AARGM is a pretty advanced GPS assisted missile so it’s already extremely accurate (I’ve heard GPS can be used to make it general land attack but it’s not done much IRL) and that makes MMW a non issue

MMW would mean that you would be able to track moving targets with their radar off .

Yes but the missile would already be directed to where something had its radar on at some point so the chances of TK especially considering where SPAA tend to be around that BR are very low

this should be the case with iog already, if they didnt do this it means they dont want it. iog should be extremely accurate at close range, and in general GNSS ordinance got absolutely gimped in terms of accuracy in recent times.

If we look at another GPS assisted missile (AIM-120D) GPS assist IOG has 0 drift

and its pretty much a non factor.

Because oftentimes it’s being constantly updated by an emitting active radar on a jet or the target has moved kilometers away. Neither of these really happen when shooting HARM

when you shoot an HARM its guiding through emissions. unless the radar is turned off its not going to incur iog drift

But you don’t control the emissions compared to an AMRAAM where you have the choice to guide it in the midcourse with your aircraft’s own radar

is there anything we can do about the LD-10, as it explodes multiple meters in front of any vehicle without doing damage.

and all bugreports regarding this have been shot down.

Thank you. It has been passed for review.
