Meanwhile me in my stormer HVM with over 2000 air kills
Well that has ap missiles so
I think you are thinking of the ADATS. I dont think the Stormer can kill much more than maybe an APC with a very well aimed shot.
With the RWR rework coming next patch I think ARMs might be a step closer. Gaijin are actually making radar bands matter now (they’ve always existed but never really done much).
They are also modelling RWR capability based on whole radar bands rather than specific frequency ranges, which is how I suggest ARMs should be added.
To add to this some of the RWRs list specific threat types that aren’t in game such as Hawk, S-75, 2K11, And then there is S-125 but that’s on the Destroyer Bravy.
This leads me to believe that they are planning on adding more comprehensive SAM systems to modes like ARB and SIM which could compliment the introduction of something like ARMs very well.
Vietnam pilots discussing the AGM-45 Shrike and specifically ‘lofting’ it to increase range
F105 performing a 45+ degree loft of a Shrike
Well that is one hell of an aggressive loft. Or there is a radar on the moon that they’re targeting. Haha
The issue is that the Seeker only has an FoV of about +/- 4 degrees so has a very small searched volume once it goes terminal so needs to be lofted the same way, one would shoot a basketball in order to ensure that the geometry works out.
There is a computer assisted launch mode (CCRP) though so it’s not as if they are lofting it by eye, most of the time.
I need it
Found some data on the AGM-78
As per
The AGM-78A only covers the S band (NATO D though F band).
The AGM-78B,C & D cover 2.65 to 3.2, 4.8 to 5.3 GHz, and 8.8 to 9.6 GHz (S, C & X old band, so covers approximately E though I NATO, though depending on how things are modeled may erroneously include J band ) Which is similar to the AGM-45x-10 Broadband seeker, though does include a novel memory circuit / INS capability.
Is it possible AGM-45A & AGM-45B Shrike and AGM-78A ~ AGM-78C Standard ARM coming to this month ?
