A couple days ago it was announced that the anti-cheat was enabled for higher BRs for other game modes
I’m just wondering why wasn’t/isn’t the anti-cheat enabled for the whole game by default? Seems kind of dumb not to have it enabled for the whole game rather than specific BRs?
Tons of games including this one have shown that people will cheat at any BR, its not an issue exclusive to certain BRs or game modes.
Are you guys surprised that the anti-cheat isn’t/wasn’t enabled for the entire game?
It was enabled at all BRs in GRB. Marked modes and air in general offer less opportunities for cheating so I guess that’s why it wasn’t enabled.

It was already active for all BR’s in Ground Realistic + Sim and Air Sim. Now it will also be activated in Air Realistic + Arcade and Ground Arcade for BR 11.0+ to begin with:

I genuinely wonder what the thought process is for not having it enabled for everything by default. People will cheat no matter what game mode or BR. Seems counter intuitive to allow people to get away with cheating at certain BRs and game modes until this point but even then gradually lowering it rather than just being enabled from the start.

Which sort of works in general for lower BR’s. But at higher BR’s now that more modern vehicles are added it’s going to matter more and have more of an affect on the outcome.

People will cheat regardless of BR and game mode.
Hopefully they just enable it for the entire game sooner than later regardless of game modes.
Well that would be a problem for some players
Because some users can’t get their anticheat to work, so it would make the game unplayable for them (i am one of them)
CLARIFICATION: No I am not a cheater
how on gods green earth does the games anti cheat not work for you…either you hiding files or your using some outdated operating system that you shouldnt be using…maybe cheating game not what you trying to hide
Its actually somewhat common. I have a friend who can play air, but as soon as he loads into a ground match it kicks him for no anti-cheat being enabled.
However, Gaijin should address the issue as their fixes don’t always work.
Yes I am sure there are more than 1 person that try to conceal whats on their harddrive might be schoolwork might be buisness related or it could be other stuff
Use dual boot than, have one OS for pure gaming and one for work.

With a majority of the player base concentrated in the lower tiers, It still makes no sense having any BR not under the anticheat scope. WT should and needs a full anticheat system across everything rather than picking and choosing. Now we are dealing with a flood of fake players or bots filling up every BR, especially during these events where the game is ‘most alive’. There are too many issues with how cheating and bots are handled in this game and comparing it to other competitive games, its on the weaker side. Theres always going to be some cheaters who will still crack the code but Gaijin is not very proactive aside from the mass ban wave. Even with the massive ban list, the presence of these cheaters and bots feels like it continues to grow. Theres not even a way to specifically report cheaters in game either. Im sure that would actually help these reports if they had a dedicated means to classify a report as cheats instead of ‘other’.
