its not mate… they havent changed the protection values properly… it can’t stop BMP 2 APDS(79mm pen at 500m), even though its 80mm of RHa + a composite screen…
Also this. You (as in the devs) don’t want to add M829A3 to the SEPv2 because it would be meaningless (not my words), but you make some insignificant change like increasing the reload by a laughable 1 second.
The reload change is fine for the other Abramses, but the SEPv2 is just not mobile enough to profit from it and it can’t be stealthy with the freaking twin towers mounted on the back of the turret and the “Hey I’m here” CROWS on the gunners sight.
Abrams does not need improvements in its firepower or reload. It needs it imptovements in survivability. Revert back reload or give it to other 120’s and buff lfp, ufp, drivers port and turret ring
I’d love to see your sources on this. There are hundreds of references to DU armor in the variants of the M1A2 we have in game. It is infinetly easier to find reference to the increased armor than it is to find anything to suggest that it remains the same between the later variants.
A round with better penetration will always help in any situation, at any BR. To suggest that the addition of the M829A3 would not be a “buff” is insane.
Whether or not it is needed is another matter, but it is quite obvious it wouldn’t hinder the tank and it most certainly would benefit it
This must be a blatant misinterpretation of the ramapant requests for decompression of the BRs
Increasing and adjusting the BRs wouldn’t just effect top tier. The premium BRs are an absolute mess and need decompression. Having a higher BR cap, and therefore more room to move vehicles in the 9.0-12.0 range, would greatly benefit Air.
Stona, the post is incredibly tone deaf and is just a bumble of words that the devs hope will calm people down in time for the christmas pack sales. I can bet this was written a week ago, but wasnt released until now to make sure the playerbase cant get mad in time to boycott sales again. Dont be surprised when people get a bit peeved at this nothing burger of a response post.
We’re asking an OVERALL change to protect some lower BR ranges that are completely failing to improve the player experience due to an inexpected and Imbalanced issue between Attack aircrafts and Fighter aircrafts.
The game is currently so painful that it is literally possible to not do a single kill in a F-86F-2 (BR 9.0) when constantly fighting aircrafts such as the premium A-10A early.
The current A-10A can destroy without any problem 2 of the F-86’s in the game with 99%kill probability, then it can use it’s superior maneuvrability, tankiness and firepower (30mm GAU-8) to shred any threat.
Or let’s talk about MiG-21F-13 and it’s cousin the MiG-21 PFM superior ability to get away from the guns of the F-86’s
Those are only 2 exemples, i can do it for the whole BR set, let alone the problems around 11.0 and 10.0 with so much technology differences that the BR doesn’t mean anything.
The game is currently so compressed that the airbattle is mostly composed of Premium players,… which is not going to create a good image of the game → That’s one of the multiple reason why community think of WAR THUNDER as a Pay to Win game
