I am kinda glad they are doing this… I almost considered doing some extra work commissions to spend 20 bucks this Christmas on the 180 Premium days again, but, honestly, any desire and possibility that I would do that vanished after this, so there goes an unnecessary expense I am saving for now.

It’s 25MM APFSDS protection, as per STANAG 5 protection :c
The 30 number is straight up fake and made up. There’s no evidence or claims ASPRO-HMT stops 30mm

So the Abrams being one of the best battle proven MBTs in the world with a estimated KD of 11.5 to 1 is not going to get its DU upgrade because a Russian company said so…but they will use propaganda numbers for Russian MBTs. Makes sense.

I sacrificed my sleep hours just to get the number on M1A1 HA hull armor estimation just for them to post this and said: Nah, M1 abrams never got much improved hull armor, only on test vehicles. Instead, you can have this extra 3.9 tons for free!

Christ, man. How is it that they managed to release this bad a PR statement? If they had stayed silent people would just continue posting “Air RB fix” suggestions, and hoping for BR decompression. This confirms the devs are happy with the state of the game at top tier right now. Absolutely insane.

Nevermind the non-classified evidence from US military sources that the Abrams has been using DU armor upgrades since the late 80s and that upgraded DU armor Abrams were in service and used in both ODS and OIF. Obviously the US military ( the best funded in human history) never thought about improving the armor for its workhorse tank.
