As we all know, this year Gaijin’s main development focus is adding more sub-branches, but I have to say that Israel’s most logical direction for change should not be adding more sub-branches. Israel should not get a new sub-tree. For various reasons, it’s almost impossible for Israel to get a “nation” sub-branch. In fact, the existence of the Israeli tree itself was a misstep by Gaijin. If Gaijin had to redesign it today, it would likely just be a sub-branch of the US tree. We’ve seen many Israeli enthusiasts on the forum who believe that Israel’s vehicles are enough to support a full tree, but the truth is, they are not. The so-called new vehicles are just pointless copies or would only end up as forum submissions and event vehicles in other nations.
BUT!BUT!BUT! Even so, I believe Israel still has a way forward — and that path has already been outlined by the Israeli air tree — reaching top-tier quickly. In my view, Israel’s current army tree, even after consolidations, is still too long and cumbersome. It should continue to condense so that players can experience top-tier with premium vehicles in a very short time. The selling point of the Israeli tree would shift entirely to offering the “fastest route to a full top-tier experience,” which, compared to the massive US, Soviet, and German tech trees, would be a very attractive proposition.
I understand that some Israeli players might feel offended by this, and that’s not my intention at all. Everyone has the right to love and support their country, and they should take pride in it. However, the reality is that for Gaijin, the Israeli tree is a white elephant(or not worth the hassle?Sorry, I don’t know much about English slang and don’t know how to express the appropriate meaning.). What I’m trying to do is offer a different perspective on the situation.
It already is that. I’m a ground player and still unlocked the 14.0 F-15I in no time. Would have unlocked it even faster if I was getting 100% exp efficiency (mainly unlocked it using 9.3 Ayit).
If Gaijin redesigned Israel today it’d start from rank 1 and still be a full tech tree.
There are too many vehicles for Israel to be a sub tree, having more unique vehicles currently than China.
Ah, let me put it more gently. You believe that Israel has a lot of underrepresented vehicles, and as a Chinese player, I also believe that China has many more underrepresented vehicles (of course, you can maintain your Western bias, blah blah, but I still hope we can communicate with mutual respect). You think the lack of unique national vehicles is an issue, but in fact, players from almost every country feel the same way. If we follow the method in this link (Israel ground forces full potential), a single Chinese vehicle like the 625E could have three different variants, and the 625 could have three more. To counter HVSD/ADAMS, there’s also the FK2000, not to mention all the various combinations of anti-aircraft guns and missiles on wheeled and tracked vehicles, etc. China and Russia’s accompanying air defense could even each have two full lines of vehicles. Other countries add their military products from annual exhibitions into the tech tree, and each country would need at least two pages and about ten lines of research. I understand your desire for unique vehicles for your own country, and not just copy-pasted vehicles from the main tree. I also hope that every country has its own distinct features, but clearly, this is beyond Gaijin’s production capacity, and they are unwilling to do so.
Yes, but it’s still not good enough on the ground. Even if Gaijin fills the tech tree with various unique vehicles, I would accept that. But right now, the Israeli tree is just a pile of captured and copied models until you reach the Merkava. The Merkava is fun, but the earlier stacking of vehicles is really frustrating and needs to be streamlined further.
@kasakala
So according to your post, China, Japan, Israel, and all other Asian nations are “western” because what?
After all you’re responding to someone that has completed the Chinese air tree and is currently at 8.0 in ground despite having taken a ground RB break for a year.
You shouldn’t have posts that make false claims about others.
Here’s a tip if you didn’t actually look at my player card before responding to my post: Look at peoples’ player cards at minimum.
Do not assume peoples’ positions.
Ah I guess I’ve fallen into a logic trap😩, I have forgotten that the most important thing for players is to make sure each tree have its own unique experience, not to thinking about how to make gaijin spend less time making more money
What you’re really talking about is the whole spam of M48/M60 in the Israel tree. I agree that those are some of the most boring tanks in the history of tanks. And why I spent the money on the Merkava MK.2D.
This is blatantly untrue. The ground tree, for example, has enough for five full lines with no major gaps other than between the Sabra Mk III and Merkava Mk 3s, and even that could be closed quite a bit by giving the former the top round found on the Merkava Mk 4s.
You can flag your own post for moderator deletion, still I am interested in the foldering of more Israeli ground vehicles since the tree is a bit tedious as of late, this would also make way for a potential subtree after gaijin is finished with thailand.
While you may dislike Israel, I love its uniqueness.
Sure, there are copy-paste, as there are with every tech tree.
The great thing about ground tho is that copy-paste is mixed in with things that are exclusively unique to that tech tree.
Merkava Mk2B in USA is mixed in with MBT70, XM-1, and M60 TTS; UH-1C and F-100D.
Merkava Mk2B in Israel is mixed in with Gal Batesh, Magach 6B Gal, Magach 7, and Machbet; Sa’ar and Lahatut.
A Centurion with the turret and engine block swapped places sure is unique but this uniqueness is overshadowed by the constant same-same Gaijin made the Israeli tech tree to be.
At the moment (and for very short), except by the air, Japan is the last real unique tech tree, with unique vehicles to give each battle rating with few exceptions like the M47 and M41A1.
This is one reason why I don’t play air battles, using the Me 262 there are plenty of variations, most of them are just a new cannon configuration or capability to carry suspended weapons, doesn’t seems very rewarding, same applies to ground vehicles.
