Another boring update, the content feel pale and bring no change to the game. I had played this game continuously for at least for 5 years and what I feel is the game is totally worse compared to 5y ago. Today’s gameplay is boring and I don’t really know what the point to play it other than grinding the vehicle, for example: the ground map is so boring, whether how big the map is there only got 3 zone to capture and other place is either sniping spot or just empty space, they don’t even want to increase the size or the capture zone.
The air battle is totally disaster, few years ago we still got those unique map like those pacific battle map which you have to stop the landing troop if you on the Japan side but now they all gone, at least this few months I don’t even see 1 match in those map. And the Cold War era and all vehicle after that is simply unbalance.
I not talking about this update only but the content of recent update. If you compare to few years ago you will see what I said. More importantly, they’re taking all element that making this game fun out of the game. If this update is smaller then I think they should just halted it and replace to User Experience update (New gamemode/mechanics & bug fixing-centric update)

I’m playing about a year, since “2 fronts” pack was announced and since that all updates were garbage.
No gameplay and balance improvements, nothing! Premium vehicles, clones of premium vehicles (hello French Leo) and bad reworks of garbage maps - that’s all Gjn can do for us.
I suspect the cause… you’ve optimized the fun out of the game.
You learned so much so fast that you know all the things you want from the game.
The way I play, which prevents burnout, is to enjoy the vehicles I have. Enjoy their company.
That’s the only goal I have with War Thunder. If I can hop into a match and enjoy the vehicles present, my day is fulfilled.
Especially now that I’ve known my favorite map positions for years now, if I didn’t have this appreciation for player engagement and vehicle play, I feel I’d be bored of War Thunder.
Is not like I having a burnout of what, is just the game only got that much of thing to play and I had played for 5 years which is not long but already enough to try the core element of the game. Few month ago I also doubted myself getting burnout, but after touch grass for 1 month I realise it is not my problems but the game.
I’m asian so I using rice as example, we can eat rice for our entire life is not because the rice is delicious but because we got difference side dishes, now the game is just like a flavored rice and vehicle is the flavored, and the gamemode and mechanism is the side dishes. Why toptier is not funny, is it due to the vehicle? No! Is because the gamemode and mechanism is outdated! Playing those vehicle in outdated gamemode is just like eating the flavored rice with nothing, even thought you rice has flavored in it but you will become boring after sometime.
I shure hope so. While new vehicles (for WW2) are what i life for, i am active historical reporter and last update they only fixed Tiger 105 (partly) and Flakpanzer 341, but nothing else and this update nothing at all.
Whilst we welcome constructive feedback on the update, “Another boring update” does not tell us exactly what you would like to see changed about this update or done differently. There are many new features and improvements this update that changed the game based on things many players have asked for.
As others have already pointed out, the 4th and 5th major updates of the year come in quick succession, so this one is naturally smaller than the one that follows it. With that said, we have not shown everything yet within this update.
