IRST was a planned feature of the aircraft as mentioned above.

Planned by who? Gaijin?

By the same logic the inner wing AMRAAMS is a planned feature for the EFT so it should also get them, but I guess different logic applies depending on the moon cycle?

Yes this outlines exactly what I described above in more detail and was our post at the time.

well you see actually logic is sound because weapons are balancing decision or smth idk

Yes. And the R2Y2s were planned too. You’re drawing arbitrary lines to justify the removal of some vehicles and the retention of others which also are fictional as they are implemented in the game.

Eurofighter is a full production aircraft with everything it was known to currently have (taking into consideration game balance regarding some weaponary like IRST etc).

Yak-141 was added with all the weaponary and systems it would have had to be operational that were planned features of the final aircraft.

The R2Y2s sadly never flew and none were even completed prototypes. Which as described in the article above, fall outside of the scope of the game unlike the Yak-141.

So weapons can be fake, but Gaijin won’t take liberties with regards to the construction of the vehicle, even though they already do in game. Got it.

When will people learn that everything is decided on case by case basis. All of the biases and feelings included.

Although the removal of these very speculative non armed prototypes is a very good thing, I’ll still be sad that they have to go.

So why doesn’t that apply to say, the Mirage 4000 which was planned to have missile pylons on the centreline?

Mirage 4000 does indeed benefit from this too, having planned radar upgrades and other features: Community Bug Reporting System

If you wish to suggest more, you can submit reports seperatly on those with your information for consideration.

The Yak-141 benefits from this more.

On one hand you have an aircraft which was given the bare minimum to make it a functional aircraft

On the other you have an aircraft which was given every planned feature for it. Radar, IRST, missiles, countermeasure dispensers and so on. Even stuff like this IRST which isn’t required for the effective operation of the aircraft.

Where is the consistency here?
