There is usually a pair of towing hooks on the tank body, which are sometimes cut together with the side armor of the tank to ensure strength and simplify processing, from Panther tanks to VT5. The thickness of the towing hook can directly reflect the thickness of the side armor
From these photos, it can be seen that the thickness of the VT5’s towing hook is definitely more than 15mm. Therefore, it can be inferred that the VT5’s side armor should not only be 15mm, which is not the level of protection that a 33 ton tank should have. There are no armored vehicles weighing over 33 tons in the game that can be pierced by 12.7mm bullets on the side
As a light tank, the VT5 uses composite armor for its base hull and turret, which takes into account both light weight and protective performance, but the armor thickness is lower than that of heavy main battle tanks. Its base protection may be resistant to small-caliber (more than 30mm) APDS or artillery fragmentation.
They have the shity time waisting on making a stupid basket only for vt5 instead of making something more useful shit. Gaijin’s project manager needs to be fired
The most absurd thing is that the issue area of Warthunder has completely lost its purpose of existence. The Bug Reporting Manager simply closes and locks down all issues related to VT5 that they see without any basis. Not even giving those issue submitters any chance to reply, filling the page with already locked content. It’s time to end all of this
The model of vt5 is full of errors, and gaijin uses “not a bug” to perfunctory players. We ask gaijin to provide the production basis of the current vt5 tank model instead of gaijin’s imagination.
How can a tank that weighs 33 tons be ineffective to 12.7s? Where did the weight go? Stop saying that gaijin needs evidence to prove the armor, it is literally a common sense that a 33 toned armoured vehicle can stop 12.7s.
Can not imagine the armour of a light tank in the 2010s is worse than a light tank developed in 1962. AND VT5 IS 12.5 TONS HEAVIER THAN IT. It does not make any sense other than pure bias. Gaijin said that it need evidence to get rid of the massive turret ring, where is the evidence that gaijin used to make the vehicle? Or its just pure bias?
