Was wandering what the pros and cons of these vehicles are, and how the hold up in their BR
Despite, AMX 30 Super, the bad (in my opinion is a good ammunition) ammunition, it has a good mobility that you can counter due to the lack of armor, the gun handling is way superior and you can act in most scenarios either as a brawler or as sniper, it’s a Leopard 1 kind of play-style, you can’t rely on armor but on your gun and mobility;
In other hand Type 74 (G) is better as sniper, despite having better transmission than the early counterparts you need to keep distance from most targets you face, yet, people can say thermal imager is a reason for higher BR, it’s not, you have to take to the scale the ammo and short range mobility, not having the best, the transmission reverse speed may help you, same as AMX 30 Super, both don’t have good armor;
If you think about buying one of those; it’s up to you, for me, both are good vehicle but with different play-styles.

I mean the thermals are the only reason the Type 74 is at 9.3, and despite having 4 other Type 74s, only the $$$ version gets thermals of course whilst in the TT you can grind for 10mm plates.
No it’s not the only reason, the transmission is way better than the other models, is faster, almost double the faster in reverse speed, what I mean you got more gears to move. If thermal imager was the reason then vehicles like M60A3 TTS and BMP-3 would be at 9.3.
As I have mentioned you have to count on details inside the vehicle and other few aspects like the ammunition it fires, I may be wrong but is the second best between 9.3 and 9.0 vehicles.
Love how they make the better versions of things the paid option.
I have the G but I guess I don’t reverse all that often in it.
The type 74g was basically just a few prototypes never saw actual production, probably that’s the reason it’s premium
