Ammo detonation inconsitancy?

So multiple times i have shot OUT the ammo of a array of vehicles (the common thing between them is autocannons) and the ammo blacks out and no detonation, no cook off no nothing but sometimes it kills them.

for example in a match I shot a XM246’s ammo with a 120mm apfsds, it turns black no kill no fire no nothing, then in the same match against the guy (he respawned) i shoot his ammo and he detonates like normal. surely im not the only one to notice this?

another thing is with the vilkas’s turret ammo, when shot out with a large caliber gun it detonates killing he tank but then with a 30mm it cooks off like normal, same with the bmp2m’s roof grenade ammo

its not just these 2 vehicles, ive shot out za35, gepards and even 2s6/pantsirs ammo without detonation and even had my begleipanzers ammo “cookoff” like it had blowout pannels

it’s a percentage chance of detonating after the ammunition turns red, it is however not guaranteed, so there always a chance it won’t blow. (also if it’s modelled as the solid shot part of a two piece ammunition system, e.g. Chieftain, the solid shot won’t explode).

It’s one of Gaijins amazing RNG system that kill you or give you a kill simply based on a coin toss.

  • Even fragment dispersion (particular realShatter damage)

No consistency. Just luck.
