Hello everyone :), what I would like to introduce today is AML-60 (LAG-40)
The AML60 is a light wheeled armored reconnaissance vehicle project initiated by France to replace the British “Feret” reconnaissance vehicle and meet the needs of anti-guerrilla warfare in North Africa. Its core is the firepower configuration of a 60mm rear-loading mortar and a light machine gun. The prototype was developed in 1959 and the final design was finalized for mass production in 1961, serving as the basic model of the AML series.
Spain purchased the AML60 in 1966 and it remained in service until the 1990s. It was heavily used during the Sahara conflict. However, with the end of the conflict, this vehicle gradually aged and could no longer meet the needs of the modern battlefield. Therefore, the military conducted multiple studies on modernization improvements. Since 1984, the National Santa Barbara Company began designing a new turret for the Panhard armored vehicle, replacing the original 60mm mortar with a 40mm automatic grenade launcher (LAG-40). The new turret was only equipped with one MG-1 machine gun, replacing the original two NF-1 machine guns. The plan was officially launched in 1990, but it was ultimately not approved, and the Panhard armored vehicle was officially retired.
The aiming system is also mechanical and may be adjusted vertically as well as laterally. Night vision equipment or an optical visor may be mounted on the weapon if required. The weapon fires two types of 40 x 53R high velocity grenade developed by SANTA BARBARA and brief details of these are given below, in addition it will fire standard 40 mm grenades. Its ammunition should be compatible with other NATO 40x53 standard grenades, such as the M430A1 HEDP,it can penetrate a 76mm steel plate.

The AML60 is a lightweight wheeled reconnaissance vehicle with strong mobility, capable of rapid maneuvering and transferring across various terrains. Its primary weapon, a 40mm automatic grenade launcher, can penetrate 76mm of homogeneous steel, effectively damaging enemy light armor targets. It will be a unique vehicle in the game. Suggest BR is 3.0.

LAG-40
LAG 40 is a 40mm automatic grenade launcher developed and produced by Santa Bárbara Sistemas in Spain, utilizing a 50-round belt for ammunition. It can fire 40x53 specification grenades, with commonly used ammunition being TP training rounds and HE high-explosive rounds. It can also use other NATO grenades of the same specification, such as M430A1 HEDP.
Rate of fire: 215 rounds/minute
Effective range: 2200 m
Initial velocity of projectile: 240 m/s
M430A1
The M430A1 is a new 40x53 specification High Explosive Dual-Purpose (HEDP) round manufactured by the United States to replace the outdated M433 HEDP. It combines fragmentation effects on personnel with shaped charge penetration capabilities against light armored vehicles, making it a versatile ammunition in modern warfare. It can penetrate 76mm steel plates, with a muzzle velocity of 220m/s and a maximum range of 2200 meters.
