American Tiger: History of Northrop F-5

This “single redeeming factor” is also the only thing the A6M5 Ko has going for it.

At 5.3.

One BR step below the P-59A that even takes that niche away.

P59 is very rare, and has mid armament. The 37 doesn’t land hits often, it’s the same on the p39 and p63

I don’t want to get into this argument, but if it’s as rare as you make it out to be, then can you explain to me why I saw multiple p59’s in 10 back to back games the other day? And at least once a day when I play in the 5.7 range…?

It’s not as common as say a TT plane, but it’s definitely not as rare as you say…

Crates, maybe? It’s been a while since I played at the BR and didn’t see too many p59. And any hit to the engine will cripple it, early jet engines are extremely vulnerable

Maybe, I saw a lot once the crate event started, but I still regularly saw them when there’s not a crate event going on

Soviets have to deal with the same issues often, but they don’t get the crazy airframe that thing has so landing shots with them is actually difficult…

Meanwhile, the Kikka at 7.0 is just downright worse in every way that matters than the P-51H, a 6.3 aircraft…

Also, talking about how any hit to the engine will cripple a P-59 whereas most hits in general will cripple an equivalent BR Japanese aircraft LOL

Still, Japan really isn’t suffering much where the F-5 you want them to have would go, whereas US doesn’t have an advanced variant of the F5, which is a US made and designed jet

Mostly because the US didn’t make an advanced variant of the F-5, at least not the ones that Thailand has retrofitted.

It has also been more or less confirmed Thailand will be a Japan subtree, so I seriously doubt any Thai vehicles are going to the USA.

Didn’t you or someone else mention Chile and Brazil ones?

Was probably someone else, but I do support Brazilian vehicles in the US tree. Their Greyhounds would make for great light tanks, and they do also have upgraded F5s.

Still don’t think a F5 will come to japan soon since u guys got one veyr recently

They’ve been adding subtrees/new trees to the game more and more recently, with France getting Benelux/Coastal tree and Germany now getting Swiss.

It’s likely they’ll look at subtrees for US and Japan soon, given both are lacking in certain areas Brazil/Thailand could fill respectively.

imo, nations should have niches, it adds some more variety. there are def spots where things can be improved but i would much rather have each country have their ups and downs than have a future wt where everyone has an effective 1:1 equivalent of everyone elses stuff, it makes it boring
