Because R-27ER is SARH. Why is it so difficult to make you understand… If you really think it doesn’t matter, just add R-27EA to the game. And you’ll see.
Am I the only one who thinks the F-14 IRIAF is still significantly overperforming at its current BR?
Plus you now sound like a kid who has just learned new tricks. Literally every player in top tier jet knows 3-9 maneuver! And it’s not “S shape”, it’s called F-pole god damn it. And F-pole cannot save you from Fakour-90 because it’s even faster than R-27ER! No way you could have enough time to guide your missile and make 3-9 maneuver after that.
It’s not hard to understand, I DISAGREE WITH YOU
Because I’ve used and Fought against All 3 Missiles and the Fakour just simply isn’t even remotely as Dangerous as the AMRAAM
you’re the one that complained about the 12.3 Missile being OP
so I figured your Skill level was below the F-pole Manoeuvre
Yeah why don’t you try reach KD1 in a Tier 8 jet first, before lecturing me about “skill issue”?
Wait what? Care to elaborate how a fucker is better than an aim120.
got no arguments remaining so you go for K/D huh?
what’s next? Flagging me for Spam?
Literally can’t
because it isn’t better than an AiM-120
Yeah sort of a weird take. That’s why I wanted elaboration.
OK, here’s the thing. First, compare the max speed of Fakour-90 with that of other missiles. Then, compare the range of Fakour-90 with that of other missiles. This should tell you something.
This is not enough, though. To learn the full might of Fakour-90, you must check the live prediction, and the missile ballistics simulator. Then, you will see that with same launch velocity and launch altitude, Fakour-90 has more speed and acceleration than any other missile. When impact, Fakour-90 usually has more speed, allowing it to maneuver with higher G.
In a word, Fakour-90 is better. It’s actually based on a ground-to-air missile, which means it has way more thrust. It has speed, acceleration, and range advantage. Gaijin also increased its maximum G some months before, allowing it to perform at close range. Have you heard of the story of Aim-174? That is it. The most advanced USA ARH missile we know. Aim-174 is also based on ground-to-air missile. Because that is indeed a great idea.
If you feel like saying “hey, F-14 isn’t that difficult to deal with”, just keep in mind that Tomcats have ARH missiles while others use SARH missiles. The F-14A itself, had it not been equipped with ARH missile, isn’t worth current BR. The engine is so burning hot that even R-60M could ignore the flares. The radar lacks SRC PD mode. An F-14A without ARH missile is worth BR 12.3 at most. However, there as they are, the ARH missiles.
Read my post above. Watch and learn.
War Thunder is never some silly gacha game. You must learn to gain access to your vehicle’s full potential. What annoyed me was that your words showed nothing but arrogance. You were not willing to learn. You were not willing to study the stats and characteristics of your weapon. And yet, you don’t feel embarrassed for talking brainlessly.
Fakour is not faster than the r27er.
Launched a fakour from 7.5km alt and it peaked at mach 3.36.
Launched a r27er from 4.7km alt and it peaked at 3.72 mach.
There are 2 things the fakour beats the r27er at. Effective range and being fire and forget.
R27er wins in pull, wvr combat, chaff resistance, and stealth.
what’s the max g load of the fucker missile? I thought it was near 20g’s, like the aim54. If it is, as I thought I’d remembered, that speed is actually a hindrance to movement.
Turning while going faster applies more G’s to less turn radius.
I still don’t see how this is better than a 35g aim120. Launched at speed, it goes super fast(not as fast as fucker) allowing it to maneuver better when closer to the target.
The aim54 and fucker are seriously missiles I think I died to a handful of times. Once I learned about how missiles works, never again. They’re so easy to defeat.
As opposed to high-g maneuvering aim120 going Mach 3.5 instead of 4.5.
I either don’t understand this topic, or I don’t understand how you’re tying things together to make a point.
It’s like saying a drag car will get you around a track faster than a formula one car because it’s faster in a straight line and has more G’s while turning. The drag car does better in a straight line, the formula 1 car while still fast as heck, does better around turns.
Well, that is my bad then. Still, it is in my recollection that Fakour-90 usually have more average speed than R-27ER. It would be nice if you could check if this is true. Thanks.
Fakour G over load is 20g. Aim54 is 17g
It maintains the speed for a bit longer due to the longer burn time. However, it will quickly lose that speed after the motor stops.
The weight also causes turns to dump more energy.
R27er will of course lose energy too. But the stealth launch strat will usually prevent that by not causing the target to evade.
Fakour beats the r27er in head on ranges over around 25-30km.
I would say, what Fakour-90 really beats R-27ER is the fact that Fakour-90 is ARH missile.
Real. Furry pfp guy is known for being a smoothbrain and people block him left and right
At those far ranges, yes. The fakour is not able to do well in shorter ranges. It is just too fat to pull max Gs quick enough.
The ARH is an advatange but the r27er still has abilities that can give it an edge within 25km.
I wonder if you have flown jets and encountered BVR around BR 12.7. Based on my experience, it’s actually more difficult to notch Fakour-90 than any other ARH missile in BVR. People usually thought this was caused by better Fov of Fakour-90. Well, it’s not true. Fakour is more difficult to notch solely because it’s fast. You usually don’t have enough time to leave Fakour-90’s route. And with inertial guidance, Fakour will catch you in the end.
In addition, Fakour and Aim-54 are more dangerous to people crawling on the deck as well? Why? Because they carry way more explosives than other ARH missiles. It’s just a bomb than blows up around you, so even if you notched them, there is still possibility than you got hit.
