Whenever playing the game and I alt + tab to go use discord or something else on another monitor there is always a chance the game will completely freeze up on me and will need to be killed in task manager to get it shut off. This is on Windows 10
This has been happening to me 5+ times a day since December. My GPU drivers are up to date, Discord overlays turned off, I’ve tried the game in both fullscreen and windowed fullscreen with no change.
To say its getting frustrating would be an understatement.

I use two monitors — one is connected to a Radeon RX 6700 XT graphics card, and that’s where I run my games. The other monitor is connected to the integrated GPU in my i7-11700K processor. I use that second screen for monitoring OBS while streaming, Discord, or browsing the internet.
I noticed that while playing War Thunder, the game stutters for a split second whenever I click on the desktop of the second monitor using Alt+Tab.
Many reports have already been submitted about this exact bug, but Gaijin hasn’t responded to any of them.
During this time, I reinstalled my system from scratch. I also reinstalled my GPU drivers using DDU.
Unfortunately, none of these methods have fixed this annoying issue. It’s especially frustrating when streaming War Thunder, whether on YouTube or Twitch.
I should add that I don’t have this issue with any other game. I also play titles like Road Craft and Drive Beyond Horizon, and those work perfectly fine. I streamed both of them on Twitch, and Alt+Tab didn’t cause any problems.
