Alpha MS2

Hello everyone :), what I would like to introduce today is Alpha MS2.

Introduction

Since its service, the Alpha jet has been favored by many countries for its excellent performance and diverse functions, and has been widely exported to many countries. With the development of the times, the first generation Alpha jet began to fall behind, so France began corresponding upgrades and renovations, including upgrading avionics, increasing weapon mounting, and installing new engines. This upgrade eventually gave rise to the Alpha NGEA(Nouvelle Génération Ecole Appui) jet. After obtaining the order, the Alpha was exported to Egypt as the Alpha MS2 jet attack aircraft.Alpha NGEA and Alpha MS2 actually refer to the same aircraft, with MS2 specifically referring to the attack aircraft model used for export, while MS1 is the training aircraft model for export. Alpha NGEA is their prototype.

In 1982, Egypt placed an order for 15 aircraft of this type, and the Alpha MS2 was equipped with avionics equipment from the Mirage 2000, including a new high-precision inertial navigation system SAGEM Uliss 81 INS, SFIM gyro magnetic compass, TRT radar altimeter, CSF enclosed communication equipment, HUD projection indicator, and TMV 630 laser rangefinder. Some MS2 models were not newly manufactured, but upgraded from old Alpha trainer aircraft.

After various equipment additions and upgrades, the Alpha MS2 has gained complete combat targeting and navigation capabilities, while also being compatible with the mounting capabilities of the Magic 2 air-to-air missile and AM-39 air launched anti-ship missile, replacing Egypt’s old MiG-17 as an attack aircraft.

In game

The Alpha MS2 is an excellent ground attack aircraft with excellent avionics equipment. It not only has a wide range of ground weapon mounting options, but also two “Magic 2” missiles for attacking aerial targets. After replacing the engine, the power is even more outstanding. This aircraft is suitable for use as a technology tree or advanced vehicle in games. BR recommends 11.0.
