There’s a bit to read, so to make it shorter for you if you don’t want to read all that, here’s a summary of what I said.
in USA:
Merkava Mk1: x1 plate 35mm RHA, x1 plate 30mm RHA.
in Israel:
Merkava Mk1B: x1 plate 35mm RHA, x1 plate 10mm RHA.
Merkava Mk2B: x1 plate 35mm RHA, x1 plate 10mm RHA.
Merkava Mk2D: x1 plate 35mm RHA, x1 plate 10mm RHA(most advanced Mk2 variant)
Merkava Mk3B, Mk3C: x2 plates 10mm RHA(2cm protection for MBT?)
Merkava Ra’am Sagol: x2 plates 10mm RHA(most advanced Mk3 variant)
Merkava Mk4B, Mk4 LIC, Mk4.M: x1 plate 35mm RHA, x1 plate 10mm RHA(same as Merkava Mk1B, 1979s interior armor=2004s interior armor???)
Merkava Mk1 in USA has x1 plate of 35mm RHA and the other one is 30mm RHA armor in the hull. In Israel, the Merkava Mk1B and the Merkava Mk2B have one plate 35mm RHA and the other one is 10mm RHA. Also, the Merkava Mk2.D(the final and most protected Merkava variant 2nd, with extra protection) has one plate of 35mm RHA and the second one is 10mm RHA. The Merkava Mk3B and Mk3C have x2 plates of 10mm RHA each, like, what the hell? 2cm of protection?. The Merkava Mk3 Ra’am Sagol (the final Merkava Mk3 with extra protection) also have x2 plates of 10mm RHA each. The Merkava Mk4B, Mk4 LIC, Mk4.M, known as the 4th variant of the Merkava, have one plate of 35mm RHA and the second one is 10mm RHA(basically like the Merkava Mk1.B ,for some reason).
How is that making any sense? I would like to get an answer to that.
