last time i played it was like, idk a month and a half ago or so and it still faces the mrsip and the annoying premium su30s that i have no clue how they are still at 13.3 but i found that firing the derbys at like 20km max is a quite reiable way to score hits, also they increased contrail alt so you can be higher and have more range on those things

he plays WW2 aircraft, most played aircraft Wyvern S2, while mine is MiG-23MLD.
does that even justify he’s talking about a plane he literally played exactly 3 battles?
Although 12.3 F-16s are mediocre for the BR, giving them sparrows and moving them to 12.7 like the F-16AJ will put them in a much worse spot in the matchmaker.
If you play 12.7 you will fight 13.7 full uptiers more often than not, and even partial uptiers are unplayable for most 12.7s because of how overpowered 13.3 jets are against 12.7s. Downtiers are very rare and even then, the F-16s won’t fare much better than a MiG-23 MLD or F-4S.
tbf i own the wyvern since late 2023, thats a lot of time for me to use it, nowadays i only use it for the bp task that requires me to kill ground units on a strike aircraft bc i cant be asked to do it on a high tier strike jet
F-16s without Fox3s just suck in current meta. You don’t get dogfights.
and giving F-16s some Sparrows is going to fix the problem?
as i said, grinding F-16s, just like grinding MiG-29s, is stupid and unnecessary. if u want them cuz u like them, alright, but if u want them cuz u believe they’re good, that’s another history.
also this topic is playing with the 0.1% of realism WT has, adding AIM-7s to F-16s which didn’t even get them.

F-16’s, with exception of the ADF, cannot guide an Aim-7… so you can’t have them… k, thx, bye.
Cool story, now let me tell you an even cooler story:
The f14iraf was never able to guide the r27, the f5c was retired from service years before the aim9e, an/ale-40 flare pods were introduced into service, germany never operated the aim9J, multiple boats that are in game were never built more than 10%, the f16AJ never existed, neither did the r2y2, the swiss never operated aim7Ps, the f16 OCU never mounted amrams irl as it was a ground strike version, the av8S never had the an/ale-37 pod, the 25mm aden pods were never mounted on any harrier, pretty much all BOL pods should be chaff only, pretty much all mig29s never equiped the 27ER, exept the SMT iirc.
And this are the ones i can name of the top of my head, i’m pretty sure there is way more

Frankly what should be happening is the F-5C etc. loosing their fantasy mods, not other vehicles getting new ones.

Personally its the CMs which makes them unplayable. 60 shared isnt enough to beat flankers spam if it focus’ you. The realism when it suits has got very old, f16 with 45 CMs says it ALL about war thunder.
Let them die. Along with the mig29. Games never going to get better. Just use the 5 meta vics that still compete throughout the full game
MiG-29A will get R-73 at 12.7 (iirc, it was 12.7 in the dev server), so it will probably revive from the ashes to start it’s new butchery using R-73 against MiG-23MLD and other 11.7 jets with nothing more than non-IRCCM missiles (not even SARH missiles like an R-3R).
