INTERMAT Camouflage
The Al Khalid is a very versatile MBT that has the ability to perform most tasks pretty decently. With good manouverability as well as decent armour and a great firepower and sensor package. However, when a vehicle has a capability in real life that is not represented in warthunder, it feels as though a part of the vehicle itself is missing.
Many vehicles in War Thunder have a researchable modification (or unremovable) camouflage nets. Some vehicles such as the Leopard 2A4 and T-80UE-1 among others. Keeping this in mind, I want to suggest the addition of the INTERMAT Camouflage package for use on the Al Khalid-I. This package is not unique to the Khalid, in fact the company (INTERMAT) has offered their product to any vehicle and among some of the vehicles in War Thunder, the Tor-M1, the Leopard 1, Leclerc, M1 Abrams and the M113.
In 2017-18 Pakistan Army collaborated with INTERMAT Defense to apply their IR reduction stealth coating on two Al Khalid Main Battle Tanks. The trials saw the vehicles being tested in various environments as well as against another Al Khalid which did not have the coating applied.
In the video you can see the tanks being applied with primer, and after the tank has been coated, the system is brought upto functional condition and trialled. Below you can see the results of the comparison between a coated tank and an uncoated tank. The second and third photograph show the two Al Khalids in standard white hot TVD processing:
The camouflage allows the vehicle equipped with it to maintain a much higher probability of reserving the first shot. In terms of IR guided atgms, it prevents lock on to a great degree, with the enemy needing to close the distance significantly in order to acheive a firing solution. This camo also helps with reduction in the overall radar signature of the vehicle, allowing for a much smaller profile against MMW radar guided weapon systems.
This camouflage need not be reserved for the premium Al Khalid-I, but it can also be applied for any future versions of the tank that may be added into the game as well as other tanks like the Abrams or the leclerc (however the leclerc which had the package irl belonged to the UAE).
