the truly sad part was in the leaklist where the R-27EA was mentionned as under consideration, implying gaijin does not wanna fix the drag of the R-77 and R-77-1 and would rather add a missile with only a mockup built rather than fix their shit

I was gonna play Britain but decided against it cause I wanna play Ho229. I get it EF sucks a bit Rn, but I think F15E need to go 14.7for these C5s if they have real life range.

The missiles will be good/great but the airframe can’t defend like the Eurocanards can and that’s why it shouldn’t be higher.
This should really being the F-15E back into some form of the meta. If the missiles do become lethal and impossible to defend then yeah it will need to go up.
it was always meta, being able to launch missiles earlier with much more energy, plenty of time to get in the notch and lots of chaff to help

I think before Typhoon and Rafale it was the best jet in the game for what felt like a long time.
The Gripen couldnt deal with it’s speed and power
The J-10 is not a BVR machine
Su-27SM was just all out suffering
and the Mirage 2000 was better suited to playing as a rat.
But as predicted when the Eurocanards Typhoon and Rafale came they dominated the F-15E, Typhoon made F-15s play style a liability they had the same missiles and Typhoon was superior kinematically.
Rafale blew everything away and subsequent buffs have only increased the gap from anything else.
F-15E will be good with these missiles but it really depends on how hard they are to defend.
I’m surprised we don’t have an F-15C with the improved engines and an AESA Radar in game now.

the time to target will probably be much shorter, giving even less time to defend than there is with a 120A/B and considering it will be launched from the platform that gives what is already the best missile in the game the most energy it’s gonna be absolutely painful to face against
Certainly wont be taking F-15s lightly going forward it really depends on if getting into the notch and chaffing are an effective defense.
Yet it could be too much of a meta especially for Su27s who don’t have good rwr and all the rest of 13.0s.

it most likely will be but the time window to do so will be so short the 120C’s from an F15E may just go pitbull before any other jets can even fire their AAM’s

Pitbull is fine as long as it’s not being DL to you, if it’s just in final IOG mode you can get it to bite on chaff and then change your trajectory.
They don’t model sustainers they just increase the burn time which is kinda rubbish
yes, the main issue is that with the missile and energy advantage the 120C may just go pitbull before jets like the Rafale, J-10/J-11 and others can even get withnin firing range of their AAM’s, literally denying the other jets the counter and making the team that has the most 120C carriers win
I expect that which is why not engaging until the F-15 has vomited missiles and sitting in or near notch angle would be the best way to deal with it. Then within 25km start to pressure the F-15
Unfortunately not every jet can do that when they are high and fast.
the sheer altitude and speed advantage will just deny any ability to do so as they will always land their missile before any other jet does unless someone in a flanker is going as fast as possible and yeeting an ER which is just way less competitive

F-15C are all with PW-220 engine
But i believe we could have got F-15EX with a bit more missiles(12 or if you want - 20) and AESA instead of C-5s on 15E
