Aim120C document that proves that the aim120 is to weak in WT

I think it’s easier to write to Trump and ask him to confirm that the AIM120C pulls 60g and is twice as fast as the R77-1 than to claim that Gajin balances the game. But it probably won’t be an official source either.

Who do you think vympel is, also that’s just the russian version of the patent. I can show it filed at the european office

Lol, i didn’t even clock that part. It’s literally a patent filed by the creators of the missiles XD

Gaijin does have on the tighter end of scrutiny for documents. But their classification for documents being primary/secondary is fairly normal. If anything I’d saying gaijin actually more or less has the same standards as other places where accurate sourcing is required (say research articles or wikipedia), just gaijin actually strictly sticks to it, whereas stuff sneaks through in other places.

wikipedia is so bad, I go on any of english version of russian stuff and they all almost get things wrong with improper sources. Funnily enough, the actual russian language version of the same articles usually get things right, makes me wonder why the english articles arent just translations of the russian ones

And this? Someone posted it on the other AMRAAM thread
0.1 - 0.2 seconds for fin unlock

look at guidance initiate

Interesting. Seems like it would fit to the video that i’ve put in the report. Fins unlock immediately, but guidance only starts after a bit

Keep in mind this cyclogram is for ejector launches.
For rail launches it would guide immediately (or after like 0.1-2 seconds, forgot exactly) (but gl finding sources for that)

The English Bias Maneuver, deals with that based of Pre-launch information about the target, that’s why the fins are deflected off the rail in the videos

AIM-7 English bias

would that also apply to ejector launches?
R-77 has something similar in that it guides immediately when off the rail, but that only applies to rail launches.

When its ejector launched there’s a slight delay because it has to clear aircraft first. I assume the reason why amraam has such high delay is because its modeled with an ejector launch in game instead of rail launched

True. Lemme imagine a random tick of time for the guidance of the missile.
AIM-120D with 1 sec delay cause it can be put into the weapon bays of the F-22 and F-35. It sounds dumb because it is dumb

Yes, how else does the F-4E carry Sparrows? It uses the “Aero 7/A”

Is that why the Aim 120 family can’t use their full G-force after firing? If so, that’s pretty stupid

That’s why they don’t maneuver off the rail. They can’t pull all the Gs because of fin AOA

Do you have a document that happens to confirm that rail launches proceed any differently? Gaijin probably won’t improve anything unless you do.

There’s none. I mean, maybe you can get one, but there’s a very interesting and unconventional way of obtaining it

This is the most important citable source, as it directly cites Jane’s as the source.

Jane’s Air-Launched Weapons (Jane’s ALW for short) is an internationally recognized military reference work on air-launched weapons.

How reliable is Jane’s?

Very high

Often cited as a primary or quasi-primary source

When Jane’s writes something, it’s considered the “state of the art” in academic circles.

That means works based on the primary source should actually be valid, according to your statement.

I don’t have any documentation that has been released for this. It just doesn’t make sense that only the Aim 120 family has this problem.

Maybe also the R-Dater/Derby, but I’m not so sure about that.
