They only have shot down storm shadows and maybe the Taurus right? JASSM hasn’t been sent there and it’s design benefits from decades of US stealth experience
AARGM is also very fast and can be used in numbers

Sure, and its BR can be 15.3.
At most storm shadow, as it’s the only missile of the three that’s actually being used in the conflict that shall not be named. But I’ve never seen any news/pictures of a shot down storm shadow. Tho I’m pretty sure that bound to have happened already a couple times imo
Pantsir and BUK have no problem detecting stealth targets. You are overestimating the effectiveness of stealth against modern air defense systems.
This missile is still not an impossible target.
Detecting stealth targets with high-frequncy radar has rarely been an issue. Actually getting a weapons grade lock to be able to fire on them is the difficult part, which is precisely what stealth is designed to counter.
You can find footage of the interception of a Storm Shadow by a Pantsir SAM. The Pantsir had no problem locking on to the target.
For how far out though?
i dont think it is that relevant for cruise missiles
they are pretty slow and arent doing evasive manouvers, which makes it pretty easy to intercept them after detection
They can go pretty low, and I’m pretty sure some can do simple maneuvers
honestly
if the USSR still exist the armrace between NATO and the USSR wing would be very intense
20-30km.
30 km if there is a low altitude detector
even then some missiles will break through. how do you explain all the storm shadows that did hit their targets and the other weapons that wiped out entire S-300 systems in certain place very recently
I would rather see brimstones for the F/A-18C for the U.S.
AIM-9Xs would be wayy to strong for right now. The best fox-2s we could add for the legacy hornet right now are later AIM-9M variants or even the AIM-9R if absolutely needed
usamain copium
Russia is too big. It is impossible to cover all territories
they arent hitting all over the country though. only coming from one much smaller general area towards another. and the 2nd example isnt Russia and its much more recent. i think you might be overestimating russian AA systems
Dude. Russia’s Western borders are too huge. Now remember that Russia has Northern, Eastern and Southern borders. It’s impossible to cover everything. Also, SAMs should be installed in the central parts of the country.
Also, don’t forget that before the launch of the Storm Shadow, the MLRS launches missiles and UAVs are launched.
Are Western systems better? Iris-T? Patriot? Iron Dome?
they only have to cover parts of the western border where the airbases and stuff are. and what about Iran with their S-300 and modern domestic SAM’s?
Patriot and Iron Dome probably better
… What about other nations?
Also the F-16A block 10 is the US’s best gunfighter, and the Su-30SM is annoying as hell to deal with close up, but it will lose to a 27SM in a conventional dogfight
