The guy is just trying to turn the topic discussion into another flame war on the forum.
Biggest problem with AIM-9X is the seeker being IIR, currently modeled the same as the Stinger’s seeker, which would already be oppresive if put on an AIM-9M, let alone the TVC AIM-9X which would be better in basically every way.
If you really want a TVC missile for the US, go to the AIM-95 Agile thread and ask for it (we should really make a suggestion). Unfortunately, I don’t think it was ever tested on F-18s, but the F-16, F-15, F-14, A-7, F9F and F-86H did.
