Fun fact: The AAM-3 should also have seeker shutoff + gatewidth IRCCM. As its a dual band missile, which on manpads/heli IRs in game is also modeled as having the two afformentioned type.
Also the AAM-3 is missing a lot of offboresight, i did some testing with corrected values for dual plane and it has comically good turning (better then the R-73 past a few hundred meters range).
NGL the next thing we should recieve in game is the Python-4 /buffed AAM-3 / PL-8B etc.
Aim-9M has more than a few outstanding bug reports too. Like better lock ranges and Push ahead (one of its other forms of IRCCM)
So yeah, could milk the current set of AAMs quite a bit if they wanted

The game has been heavily in favor and unbalanced because of the russian tech tree for years
yes, making that not even worth a look as a source.
Esp with Gaijins picky and biased way to approve sources
you mean in mixed batlles, where every nation is on every team, we had for the last years?
Edit:
Also Gaijin refuses to implement regenerative steering, which most tanks have, except the russians^^
the AIM9 X has a compatibility mode, so every plane that can fire the AIM 9 M, can fire the AIM 9 X (though the plane, not the missile, thinks, it is an AIM 9 M)
and yet, you post an unproductive comment
PvT_Wade was specifically referring to what I was saying, about my opinion on whats next for IR missiles.
Nations with only 9Ms would suffer a bit from the addition of the P4/ bringing AAM-3/PL-5EII/PL-8B up to accurate performance. But imo its still likely to come before modern gen IIRs.
