I believe it was answered that the game didn’t support multiple BRs for one aircraft in one game mode.
Personally I believe it’s crap but when I see how they manage to brake missiles and guns in an update that shouldn’t change anything, I’m actually not sure they could pull it off.
@Morvran to respond to you, I totally agree with your points. It complete BS that thrust is what is used to measure IR signature, when the game already has engine temps for the user to see. They could extrapolate a cone of temperature behind the engine following a specific formula and have that acting as the engine output IR signature, as well as a body temperature that is dependent on engine temp and speed.
This would remain a simplified model but far more accurate than what we have. Could open the door for multi band seeker to be modeled as well, since both the engine and aircraft would have different IR signature
Im hoping this is what they are beta testing on the helis will be for. They now have directional thrust, and so it should be applied to the Fixed wing aircraft too

Sounds great until you see F-16s with no missiles killing lobies with guns at 9.0…
If we gets some decompression, I would like to see some aircrafts at 12.X BR and higher, such as F-4s, F-14s, F-16s, MiG-29s etc gets more better missiles.
You don’t deserve 9Ms at 12.3 BR or 12.7 BR.

There should be a standard for the airframe and then add extra BR with missiles etc.
Naked F-16A could be a 12.0 (assuming the US has 12,3).
In general that would work well with some decompression and some mod reduction for A-A missiles …
For example, since AIM-9L is available for 12,3 (where the vehicle is now) … the AIM-9J grind is irrelevant altogether and they don’t take it on account on what BR they give to the vehicle.
Else it could go 12.0 gun only (airframe) , 12,3 with 9J and 12,7 (uptier it) with 9Ls and then give it an option for 13.0 with 9M, it doesn’t have Sparrows anyway…
PS: I support the idea, but it needs tweaking and along with some decompression i believe it would be great, so at least those set-ups in armament can be viable and not just a barricade to grind other missiles.
EX. FGR2/FG1 start with Gun and 2 9Ds… at 12.0 . Even if you take 9D mod off and straight ahead give it 4x9Ds the plane is not a 12.0 , in that config is a 10,3-10,7 max…you’re literally worse in that scenario than many current 10,3s and 10,7s. You already can’t consider it a good 12.0 aced with all the equipment, so much more without Skyflash(DF) … even with AIM-7E it’s more of a sidegrade to F-4EJ (not Kai) , but with PD …so comparing that’s 11,3 config.
But even if thise came to play, still you’d need decompression.

then why mig-21 bison get the full package of r-73/27 plus HMD at 12.3. Mirage F-1C-200 get magic 2 as well at 12.0.
Mirage is carried solely by those two IRCCM missiles. Without them it would sit much lower.

because both are gen3 planes with far worse flight models than the f16, and mirage f1 has basically only that going for it
