AIM-7F vs AIM-7M

Howdy everyone!! I was wondering what’s the difference between the AIM-7F and the AIM-7M?

Also how do they perform compared to other SARH missiles?

Finally as a first time AIM-7 user how should I use it (specifically on F-16 ADF)

Currently they’re identical. And they’re decent missiles but don’t try to get super long range kills with them cause they aren’t great.

The AIM-7M and the AIM-7M are exactly the same.

That would be the AIM-7P variant, the M added a monopulse seeker compared to the F model, but in game this difference (in terms of effects) is not modelled.

What does that do?

Allows for better jamming and ground clutter resistance among things, but jamming is not in the game and the ground clutter effects are the same for all CW missiles.

If gaijin gets around to modeling the difference between AIM-7F and AIM-7M, the difference would be that the AIM-7F hits multipath at ~1000 meters while AIM-7M can ignore it down to 5 meters.
