Hey all. Since the last couple patches and the Leviathans update i cant seem to get any kills with the F4-S using the AIM-7F-s. I always wait for full radar lock but the missile takes a 90% turn almost all the time and flies into oblivion. I am really fed up with it now as before the patch when I bought the plane as it was discounted, I could always manage with it and I was having fun.
Does anybody have an explanation other than that the missle sucks?
Lead your missiles at closer ranges.
Prioritize mid and high altitude targets.
Prioritize head-ons.
It’s a well known issue with sparrows. Sometimes it’s because another plane close to your lock gives higher radar returns, other times it simply doesn’t work.
I recommend watching the replay using sensor view to figure out where the seeker was looking.

stay still while guiding radar missles sometimes
