This page reached a point that it makes no sense , in truth if f15e/i get the aim120c5 also should the ef2k and other aircraft in similar positions , captor is bad it is what it is its not on the f4s radar level but its worse than apg73 and apg70 and its close to the n001vep one is from the 92 and one from 86 its true captor is newer but worse keeps the balance in a way having great range on missiles and worse radars while su30 has better radar with less range on missiles, aim120c5 doesnt bring more range compared to aim120b diff is minimal(statcard range is never achived and in actual game tests it has maybe 5km over it but way less most of the times ) has similar seeker performance , only diff that is felt most of the times is the HOBS performance where the aim120b pulls 22g from the beginning while aim120c5 reaches 35g, i think it would ve been better for aim120c5 to be left only for fa18c late but if that would be the case the american comm will go insane i think.
False. The EFT has the worst radar at top tier by a fair bit.
Theres more to a plane than just radar performance.

It’s bad, but it’s still better than N001 and other earlier PD/TWS radars. It’s just vastly outclassed by the AESA/PESA radars when it shouldn’t be.

To be fair, it wasn’t “dominated for a bit”, it’s still absolutely dominant at all BRs where you don’t have ARH missiles as the R27ER/ER1 is the best SARH missile in game by an extremely long way… borderline undodgeable, travels at 2000kph above what the AIM-7 can and ALSO pulls 15G more. (also unlike say an AIM-7M, it doesn’t just randomly spike off to slaughter a teammate at random)
It is more reliable at finding things, yes it’s missing features but if it detects the target and you hit lock it will lock.

Are you saying that the Su-30 and F-15E have identical radar performance characteristics?
Neither is N001, it glitches so badly that I struggle to lock targets visible by eyesight, has like 600m/s approach rate and is in mid air. Also being locked to a single scan width sucks as well. I would say N001, especially the original one with 1DL is for sure much worst, the sep is slightly more even, cause with captor at least u get the choice.

I know its a poor Radar I have it on the Su-33 and it’s glitchy it does have a better HMD mode with the Radar locking near instant.
I do also think Su-33 doesn’t depend on it’s Radar as much as Typhoon does.
Yeah, J11A is 13.7, quite close already. I almost exclusively use HMD mode and only sometimes retreat to PD search.

How is its performance in the Multipath? It is supposed to resist countermeasures better and should be more resistant to this according to the real specifications, which is part of what makes it a superior missile to the B.
It should be a bit more notch resistent due to the better seeker, but this is war thunder so don’t expect anything new besides better pull and a bit more range
I’m not getting my hopes up either, although I think this technical feature would be very important in Warthunder, differentiating it by the missile rather than by a generalized system. Obviously, those that are better in the real world should not be more than 20-30% superior to the others, trying to maintain the quality of the game.

I am saying that not everything comes down to radar performance and we need to have a look at the whole aircraft, su30sm has better radar and missiles indeed while being a lot slower (aim120c5 still is worse than r77-1 in everything exept range but now it allows for the aim120 carriers to have a decent HOBS missile still worse compared to r77-1 derby pl12 mica , comprable to AAM4) and ur claims are ridiculous
