You’re gonna need to give more context. What was your and the enemy’s speed? Altitude? Relative bearing? Defensive manoeuvres?

If the enemy shooter was a ground hogging low subsonic and you were bolting away at high speed, 50 km would be dubious. If they were coming in at Mach 2 at 10k alt and you were flying head on, even a AIM-7M would easily hit at that range.
