This AH-64E has collectible significance. Although China’s Taiwan region has not purchased the AGM-179, it could be added to the Chinese tech tree as an event vehicle. However, there is no necessity for it to appear in the current researchable tech tree.
So ? You don’t need to make an entirely different heli design just for it to be completely domestic . All gunships are gonna follow the same design philosophy unless you want china to make a something like an at-99
This argument shouldn’t exist . No one bats an eye on the eurocanards for following the delta wing + canard design philosophy but as soon as china did it , everyone can’t stop saying it’s a delta wing + canard design copy ( make it make sense )
Smin said British AH-64E has some differences which is why it isn’t ready, aside from not having DIRCM IRL, anyone know the differences as there shouldn’t be any?
British AH64E uses a different DIRCM developed by leonardo uk. It has DIRCM, but its a different module. Thats probably why they’re saying it has visual differencies to the other guardian apaches
Source?
Akeron LP is not integrated yet (although it has been shot from a tiger already) and not planned to be also if it is missing it man on the loop feature it is not really different from the spike er or the trigat lr: it has the same guaranteed range and no information on the max range in ideal conditions (said to be 20km on the the commercial flyer)
Please avoid insults. They are simply not needed.
We have never said we wont be adding the AH-64E to the UK. Simply not everything is ready to show for this update currently. Some vehicles are still work in progress.
Visual differences. The visual appearance is not the same as the US or other AH-64E variants. The UK opted for rebuild frames, keeping some commonality with the AH Mk 1 from some parts.
They just want there to be no one left on earth, only flying freaks.
Which in itself isn’t even correct for the “specified” configuration.
Only for DMAS airframes, of which the implemented configuration is not intended to be.
It has nothing to do with Taiwan hasn’t purchased those weapons it’s that the United States has not allowed Taiwan to purchase these weapons. They are under export control only NATO the UK Poland have access to these weapons.
Does the British AH64E have no defenses that would blind IR missiles?
It should have the Leonardo UK Miyrsis DIRCM.
I really like this idea, but there’s not even a render or photo from the exhibition where apache and miysis stand next to each other.
The F-15 Is a copy of the MiG-25
Its a response not a copy, several times nations have had a “response” to something and made there own in this case interceptor.

So the Z10 Is just a response to the apache
zero “Chinese” intuition went into the Z10, they merely saw what America was doing and copied their home work. The major difference is Boeing came up with their own design.
For example, the CIRCM (or the DCIRM) on the Apache was first developed in 2009, i find it a little weird that China in 2017 had the same idea years later with a very familiar looking layout.

Historical:
Historically speaking China has been copying for a while, the only reason China has the T62 is because they had a border skirmish with Russia and hit a T62 with a mine a captured it. This is also know as the Т-62 №545, the Chinese have been building and copying for a while now. Some of their newest tanks though have been Chinese design, for example the type 100 they took a lot of ideas in the market already and put it into there own design. Now is it good? No one knows, its very similar to the M10 Booker and the new indian Zorawar.
