india couldnt be independent, their air tree would be 100% copy paste from british aircraft then 100% copy paste from russian aircraft, i said as a joke they would only have 6 unique airframes but after i did more research it ended up being true, an indian TT would only have 6 unique possible airframes, those being:
marut
HPT-32
HTT-40
HJT-36 Yashas
HJT-16 Kiran
tejas
its 100% better this aircraft get added to the british tree bc grinding what would basicaly be 95% copy paste to get a total of 6 unique aircraft
and for helicopters is way worse since their heli TT would have like 2 helicopters unless we go back again with the copy pastes, india is 100% good to be added as a sub tree
The tragic thing about this request is that its just more proof that the Dutch subtree shouldve gone to Germany, NOT France, as the Dutch operate the AH-64E, which Germany needs more than France in-game
Giving France the BeNeLux subtree was truly the single worst subtree decision of all time, gave france nothing they wanted or needed, while simultaneously denying germany a bunch of things they desperately needed, all while ignoring the military ties between Germany and the Netherlands…
I personally think India is a worse subtree addition than BeNeLux, but I guess these two can share that title.
Both of them are just taking vehicles that would have been good “support” additions for other nations and adding them to nations that don’t need said vehicles whatsoever.
I’d prefer to see Poland alongside Ukraine as Israel-like trees, potentially, but it’s nearly impossible to get any meaningful additions to minor nations these days.
“Poland has submitted LOR for LOA requesting 460 JAGM missiles” This is the exact same amount Britain requested in this document too, so not really all too different. I would consider a FMS request to be pretty close to actively buying. I dont know if it was approved yet
Did they even operate brimstones on their helicopters? Afaik the only time they shot one from an Apache Guardian at least was on a US one in a test program
They where planned and the brimstone was taken away from the hellfire program and made British. The sweet irony is the British brimstone was “better” and some called the hellfire absolute but now the JAGM is in game its flipped. Even MORE Ironic England STILL buys from the U.S even after trying so hard to make their own.
Germany could get this H14M heli it is currently testing. Its firing Spike ER2, from airborne platforms its range is about 16-17km. Its again missing a gun etc…but for some reasons Germans hate to put chin guns on their helis. Would be enough to spam some missile right from the helipad. Thats all helis do nowadays.
