If we get a proxy fuse they could make the jagm switch to milliliters wave radar mode when locking helis.
We know they aren’t adding MMW. What they could do is let you switch back and forth from laser to IR and model the proxy/HOB properly

Not really no, at least it’s not defeating angular tracking. As the apparent distortion is correlated to the bearing of the protected target; the computed centroid still remains in the correct place and so can still be used for guidance.
With the correct waveform being injected it may be able to break lock via “overdriving” the Automatic Gain Control system, sufficiently far and so decrease the Signal to Noise ratio below the tracking floor and so defeat guidance.
But as always there are counter-countermeasures that are able to be employed.
