Wait what about the ICIRCM found on Ka52 and Mi28? if i slav the aim9m with radar lock onto the heli and launch, will it hit or not?

wow, whoever denied that clearly didnt read it, or actively think about what it was asking

because they denied it referencing a bug report for 16 JAGM before there were SAL ones

on the dev server Z-10ME is getting access to HEAT ones

so it took 3 reports for them to actually read it?

I hope one day we will be able to receive information about the location of the SPAA on the radar or RWR screen…

I don’t think it does in game. But it probably should due to using a two channel IR/UV seeker.

IRL it’s too hard to tell unless we got actual footage of an engagement where both systems were known to be present.

It’s likely that whatever Generic Jamming Waveform that is used by the President-S probably has a corresponding Counter-Countermeasure developed for it, as there are many potential designs for a seeker, and so would need to be handled with their own novel waveform tailored to the characteristics of the seeker, and as certain identification of any given threat missile isn’t easy (especially for ones that are passively guided) it should just cycle though the methods it would have access to and gauge if any are effective by looking for a disturbance in the path of the missile.

Of course the are many potential counteractions that could be taken upon the detection of an injected jamming signal, from;

  • Disregarding the IR detector’s guidance commands relying on the UV returns.
  • Ramping down the gain (to minimize the resultant commanded deflections).
  • Homing on the jamming signal itself (many possible methods).

The Longbow radar also has a “Self-Protection” mode, which permits a RWR contact’s bearing to be scanned for targets and immediately queued for a MMW Hellfire, it could conceivably also work for cueing the TADS & laser Hellfire (within it’s gimbal limits), and with a MAWS spike.

They made them be able to lock 16km now, before they could only lock from about 11km or smth like that!
Now if it doesn’t get a proper lock it will guid itself with iog and then try to get a lock, and it works kinda…… but i think they will make it better in the final release

Btw shouldn’t the ah64e have gen 3 thermals? Could someone check if it should? If it does get them please make a bug report cause i suck at making them

No.

Oh well that sucks

In game for all helis we have minimum 2nd gen FLIR.

real speed is 510 m/s Mach 1.5 bro

Sorry i read wrong I thought you said maximum

Honestly, it would be nice if they overhauled all of the Apache models. Fun fact (that may or may not be true): the Apache visual models might actually be some of the oldest in the game, as they look very similar—if not outright identical—to those from Gaijin’s 2010 game Apache: Air Assault. I played it recently, and it really does look like Gaijin reused the 2010 visual models.

Performance should still improve significantly but as things are grouped in (fairly) arbitrary “generations” not much will actually come of it.

The COMANCHE employs a suite of target acquisition sensors much like that of the
AH-64D, however, its FLIR sensor is vastly improved. The COMANCHE employs a
second-generation FLIR system that provides up to 53% greater detection range, 93%
greater classification range, and 107% greater identification range than the AH-64D’s
system.

Btw, seems, that JAGM broken again…

Yes, I know. I just gave an example of what speed she has now.
