AH-64D with Spikes

JAGM-MR would still be an AH-64E.

I think the idea is FnF without MMW, which yes would still come with the AH-64E, but would be a reason to add the AH-64E before MMW

I agree entirely with the JAGM being added as it is an option that isn’t mmw. Problem I see is we would need to get the AH-64E for it.

Which only Gaijin knows when that will be.

Yeah, but I wonder if they arent adding the AH-64E because they are saving it for MMW,

As that would be the ultimate option for FnF for US and Britain.

So in the meantime, definetly worth exploring alternatives for FnF as we have no timeline for MMW

MMW would be available for the UKs and USs 64Ds. If they holding off for 64E to add MMW that would be weird. When the JAGM-MR uses a tri seeker giving it the option to use imaging while they could just add the 114L to the 64D.

Yeah, but I can see them wanting to save the AH-64D as SAL-Only Hellfires and the AH-64E being the FnF Apache, that way they could be at differing BRs in the future if we ever get a top tier decompression.

I can’t think of any ATM i don’t know of any 64s that weren’t upgraded to the E variant for JAGM tirals.

I see what you mean. But the JAGM-MR gets and additional 2kms. I can’t see them giving 114Ls to the 64E when the JAGM-MR can use MMW.

US AH-64Es have at least test fired Spikes. So that is one option. JAGM-MRs and just being Laser+IR is another.

For the UK… its messier. In theory they could do a AH-64E = AH-64E and just give us Spikes or JAGM-MRs too. But god knows.

The Other option might be the Wildcat if a source can be found to confirm Martlets have IR guidance

JAGM-MR is tri seeker. JAGM is dual.

Nor do I. But I could see IR guided JAGM-MRs being upgraded to MMW JAGM-MRs if/when that becomes an option

It’s not test-fired, it’s fully provisioned and approved for all AH-64Es ever produced.

Yeah, so could be added as IR+Laser, without the MMW. But hasnt been tested yet, so we’ll have to wait and see

There is precedence for this I don’t see why they couldn’t do that.

But it might be soon-ish.

There is also precedence for them not, like Napalm for the F-4J(UK). So we’ll have to wait and see

sweet, that makes things a lot simpler. personally i want JAGM-MR and Barracuda 100 on AH-64 and AH-1Z

Cant wait to see the AH64s actually be usable at top tier. Its crazy how gaijin left them in such a trash gimped state.

The only thing only ever test fired but never approved was Brimstone, as it was test fired on a classified version of the AH-64 that we don’t know if was fully production components used [for example could have prototype equipment only used on that version], and England pulled out of the request.
So instead Boeing kept testing SPIKE and JAGM, and both were approved for AH-64E use.

its a 11.7 longbow apache with hellfire K’s 30 flares/15 chaff+ 15flare, no IRCCM no starstreaks or any other gimmicks the other ones have
