Currently, AGM-84H require IR lock or direct line-of-sight ground lock to be able to launch, and this is not realistic. It should be able to launch with just a target marker on the map (just like how Kh38ML work). I made bug report and got denied because it counts as a LOAL (Lock on after launch) feature, which isn’t in the game yet, so I am here to make a suggestion about the GNSS version.
So, my suggestion is to add another version of this AGM-84H but make it GNSS instead of IR to make up for the missing feature (like how JAGM on AH-64E have IR and Laser versions). Why? The IR version needs direct line-of-sight to launch, which would just get intercepted and would be a DOA addition for US (so much DOA for US lately). It’s time US finally get something better than Mavericks for once. At best, this thing would just be a side grade and slightly worse than Kh38ML.
Yes, we should get two versions of AGM-84H (IR and GNSS)
yea but that needs direct line of sight on the ground. AGM84H can be launched with just a target market on the map without needing to see the location, like Kh38ML
It does… in the statcard.
As of right now, its literally just an IR seeker with a really long range, no GPS at all. If the Seeker loses track even for a second, the missile just misses.
