I’m looking at u, american hypersonic missile capable of reaching Mach 10
Yeah honestly they just need to lower the cruise altitude and then i think it would be pretty good
Although if you lower it too much you will run into the issue of not having LOS hence why it has a datalink IRL that currently is not modelled
iirc the datalink is manually observated and corrected by the second pilot of the twin-seat Hornets? I remember they have the capability of “looking through the missile” like a FPV drone and guide it even when the plane is notching (90°).
Yes, it’d also require a Datalink pod (Like Kh-59ME’s APK-9 or AJ.168’s likely mounted on the other side of the plane) to be fitted.
Trees are just barely over 30 m ingame?
That’s what they want you to believe… We must’nt forget what happened…
Huh?
I dont play ground much but most of the pine type modeled trees in game are 40-50 meters but that could just only be the ones on air rb maps.
This makes me wonder, Is there any FNF US A2G weapon that is not subsonic?
AGM-130 exists
(It’s at least supersonic for a while after launch)
AGM-65G if it’s modeled right is supersonic for a bit after launch :)
It seems that the low-altitude flight and terrain-following functions are working properly—the drone descends to low altitude and flies in the direction of the target, but it passes right over the target without hitting it. Still, it’s great that the terrain-following function is working.
Can it be launched like a JDAM or only like how mavericks are launched?
For now, it’s the latter.
Ah i see. It would have been good if it could be dropped like JDAM if it did that IRL
Come to think of it, It would actually be really good in city map. Climb high, drop few JDAMS and two AGM-84 so that ANTI air like pantsir would be distracted and shoot down those JDAMS while AGM-84 climb down and follow the terrain. This way it would be hidden from the radar unit for a while
After a bit of testing, my optimism was unfounded. With the SLAM-ER currently cruising at almost 700m, it doesn’t mask its approach at all, and will undoubtedly be intercepted by any SPAA that’s paying attention. At close range, and low altitude, it performs a significant climb, which might be conducive to tracking and striking targets in high clutter environments, and creating a significant transversal against GBAD tracking; whether that will matter, I don’t know. I rather doubt it.
Hopefully the cruise altitude will be changed to a much lower ceiling.
still bad
too slow
too weak compare to kh38
Is there any bug report for its flying height?
Tried it .
As of last night ( 13 . 3 . 2026 ) , it functions like a long range maverick. If it loses lock, the GPS doesn’t do anything, and it requires direct line of sight with the target for most of the flight to actually hit said target.
It also has a fixed flight altitude. This fixed altitude is problematic, since if theres a big hill or mountain between you and your target, theres a decent change your seeker will lose track while trying to avoid said mountain.
TLDR: Very very similar to the KH-59 , cant be launched in GNSS mode, kinda sucky if it loses LOS
