Obviously Africa isn’t united. I was just using the official African Union motto. South America isn’t united but a LatAm tree is highly popular. Taiwanese vehicles are in the Chinese tree, despite potential future ‘issues’. Etc.

I think if you bothered to look at all the vehicles, instead of briefly skimming over the names (T-72!!! Must be a copy!!), you’d find most vehicles a) aren’t in the game, and/or b) are domestic upgrades or used only in Africa, even if developed by other countries / foreign companies.

Otokar Arma 8x8 (SAMSON 30mm RWS)

The Arma is an APC family developed by the Turkish company Otokar, available in 6x6 and 8x8 variants. The vehicle can be fitted with a wide range of armaments. Rwanda recently acquired an unknown number of the Arma 8x8, first seen publicly in 2023. They have been fitted with the Israeli SAMSON 30mm RWS. Although the main cannon is not fitted in any of the images, it very likely features the Bushmaster 30mm autocannon, although the turret could also be fitted with the 2A42 or the XM813. It also has an internal dual Spike ATGM launcher.

Quite a rare vehicle, that being said luckily I do have images, albeit kind of low quality.

Mobility: 720hp, 105km/h

This version of ARMA 8x8 likely has 600 horsepower engine. As far as I can remember only ARMA 8x8 came with 720 horsepower engine was showcased during İDEF 2021. It is not amphibious with higher GVW.

This version was base for RABDAN 8x8, which has 600 horsepower engine.

Even though that the proposal has a lot of interesting vehicles in it but I would have to say no to it. Some of the nations can be TT’s with their own right; Egypt paired with Sudan, Syria and Yemen since they were part of the same country at one point. Be paired with existing or proposed tt’s; Botswana and Namibia to a future South African TT, Morocco as a subtree of France, maybe Libya as a subtree of Yugoslavia, maybe Algeria as a Russian Subtree and every North African country in a Arab league TT. Though I cannot deny that some of these African Nations are kind of in a awkward spot since they don’t have perfect alternatives to be added in existing TT’s.

Egyptian T-34-85 is a Model 1953 or (1953), equipped with a DsHK.

The AO T-34-85 would be the Model 1969 or (1969).

These two models are a must because they were widely exported to African nations.

Algerians and Egyptians also used Su-100 from Czech factories. Those had smokes and could have also used early HEAT shells.

Both T-34-85s can use HEAT shells, and both have smokes. 1969 did not come with a DsHK tho.

Ethiopia has a basic T-55 with rubber side skirts which I simply called T-55 “Rubber” in my tree. In addition, Ethiopians have a T-55 with a D-30 cannon.

Angola also has a T-72M with the old range finder that was not featured in the game yet. Meanwhile, the UNITA used a T-64B.

The Egyptian one is specifically an Egyptian upgrade — not a standard Soviet one, although it does closely resemble some obr. 1969 variants. The sideskirts in particular are not Soviet (to my knowledge)

I’m not sure if the Angolan ones were all obr. 1969. I’ll do some more research, I want to keep one standard WW2-era T-34-85. If I have to switch the nation I will.

The former is unnecessary. There’s a T-54 1949 and a T-55A obr. 1970 for 8.0 and 8.3 respectively, no need for another. The D-30 one is in the tree — it’s Eritrean (and i wrongly identified it as a ZTZ59, it’s actually a T-55M — I need to update the suggestion for it). Unless you mean the T-54/55 shown with a D-30 next to this modified ZSD89? AFAIK there haven’t been any more images of it. Until that happens I won’t add it, because we don’t even know what the modification looks like

There are so many MBTs already that I can’t really add more. Plus, those are both less unique than the vehicles already in the tree.
