AESA, Datalink, and Sensor Fusion

That’s a choice of the US though, they are more efficient at altitude but lack extra AB thrust at lower altitudes, however I do think all F-15s in game should receive their extra thrust to compensate for the bulky airframe

Trust me, They are basically dead wieght in their current state

I’m talking about the BOL pods on the tornado IDS variants, the ones with 56 flares and 600+ chaff

All aircraft except the Mig-21s are missing their combat emergency thrust, that would be a big boost to some

The ones on the wings for the Tornado IDS are the BOZ Pod

(though they are also missing BOL)

Yeah my bad, too used to the ones on the F3s but iirc they should be able to get the BOL rails regardless, especially on the ASSTA and GR variants

NATO has the best aircraft in the game.
The best radars in the game.
The best ARH missiles in the game.
The best or 2nd best (depending on situation) IR Missile.
The 2nd best SARH missile.

And on top of that…American mains are so incompetent that a good portion of their planes get arbitrarily under tiered like the F-15A.

Convenient isn’t it. Only soviets get to have it.

Isn’t the russia a part of NATO?

That is a problem for soviet engineers. Even the N001 was horrible, had a high failure rate, and performed below expectations/specifications once delivered. In game its actually better than its IRL counterpart. Players should probably be glad they over built it in game to better than spec, because the actual models delivered were found to be below advertised capabilities.

R73 is the best.

4th best, their are some monsters at other tiers and in other nations that are ignored.

PE-8? KA-50? JU-288? G91? Their is an entire list of under tiered jets from other nations. The F15a doesn’t have Fox 3s at 13.0… But gets to face the most broken missile in the game in the R27-ER. You really think the Aim-7M compares to the R27-ER?

This is NOT another russian bias post lol

The entire game is built around russian bias. Go read the steam reviews. Go look at gaming reviews. Once you get outside this echo chamber of excuses to defend the snail (they aren’t going to give you free GEs for it by the way) your eyes will open.

I am far from a ‘gaijin defender’ but the strange misconception of russian bias should be dropped or adopted solely as a meme, it simply isn’t a valid take anymore lol

What?

F-16A and F-15A will easily beat Su-27 or MiG-29 in a dogfight with the current flight models. I can pull +50/-50 degrees AoA in the current F-16 flight model which is double that of what it can do in real life.

Ok and?

It’s as good as the Aim-9M and Magic II. It’s pretty easily defeated by pre flaring in a dogfight. There is a reason that MiG-29 and Su-27 have not won any major 1v1 tournaments.

I will bet $50 of GE that if I took F-15A and you took MIG-29A and we went head to head that you would lose the vast majority of the time regardless of whether the scenario started BvR or WvR.

Flanker can’t even do a 110-120 degree cobra

NATO shouldn’t be punished for soviet incompetance.

In a turn fight the Mig-29 with the current in game modeling and them not decreasing its performance based on loadout weight. Mig-29 and Su-27 will also beat both F16A and F15A in a head to head with R27-ER. Mig-29 and Su-27 also win in off aspect launches in a furball due to the insane g pull and speed of R27-ER. The only reason they struggle is because they are finally up against aircraft with head to head abilities. Before when all aspect R60s have no counter its a seal club and anything with an R60 should be moved up to fight against other all aspect IRs.

Aim-9M is fairly easy to flare off as well. But I never see anyone in a soviet jet running periodic counter measures. On the other hand I watch NATO players start dropping CMs at 50km. I watch the radar closely before I TWS skill check, and find it odd that nearly every of my soviet kills involve almost zero countermeasures.

I would take the AV-8B over both in that fight. Once I get the 2.6 million SLs needed to pilot it. Which funny enough the Migs are cheaper to buy, crew, and repair than Nato planes. And if the game was about “balance” repair cost would be based on BR.

agreed but this is a game and balance is the priority, gaijin can’t allow NATO their full capabilities at a time because it becomes overwhelming for the russian players, china is better off because they actually have a competent air force so they will fair well in the future but russia only goes downhill from here

It’s an end of the line, rank 8 vehicle, of course it will be more expensive than the base Mig-29 or flanker…

They don’t care about NATO being overwhelmed by fictional tank performance… Or by massively OP Helis and SPAA… but when it comes to jets NOW WE CARE???

They do but either don’t want to show it or can’t, at the end of the day they are a hungarian/russian game studio and an amount of nationalism to those respective nations is game is present

Gaijin did not allow adding the R-73 for the MiG-29, but for some reason added the R-27ER, which could be easily countered while flying close to the ground

They aren’t.

They will not. This has been tested time and time again in the form of TSS tournaments and amongst 2-3 different dueling communities.

Heck, I can show you this just in a custom game that your MiG-29 has no chance against an F-15A or any of the F-16s. It would take 5 minutes.

Aim-9M is harder to defeat from side aspect. It is a meta defining missile in sim because it is invisible.

This isn’t about AV-8B vs F-16.
This is about you writing checks that I know you cannot cash.
